Happy New Year's Eve!

Well, say good bye to 2007, everybody. The thought that it is never coming back really gets to me every year. I spend the rest of the day feeling depressed, although I'm supposed to feel happy.

My Aunt is still in New York, hopefully healing.

Tonight I am all alone, just me and my sickly family. Everyone is still sick! I'm pretty much better, though. I think I'm all healed, though I had to have a shot at the doctors today. That was the least from fun. Still can't move my arm much. I remember when I had my tetanus shot, my dad hugged me so hard right on that arm! I can't remember ever feeling so much pain from a shot ever in my life, until I got that tetanus.

But I digress..

Just wishing everyone a Happy New Year and hoping for you all that the new year brings you a fresh start in life. And that fresh start...should rock!

Life Is Beautiful

It doesn't seem like it has been so long since I have posted, but apparently so. I just can't seem to find the time in between coughs. I think that I have recovered, though. I just have to take care of my Mum and Dad now. What a shame...

Anyways...life is beautiful. Admit, you know that it is. Something extremely sad has happened to someone really close: My Aunt.

Two people(dear to her, you know) have passed away all in this dreadful month of December. Her Aunt left suddenly after a few months following a surgery that was reported "fine". She merely didn't see it coming. She flew to New York in hopes of being with her parents and attending the funeral. She called this morning while we were driving in the car(reached by Mum's cell phone), and tells us that her Mother passed away. She certainly saw this one coming, but it still hurts you. Now she is flying back to New York early tomorrow for some catching up and what she needs to do. Please have her in your thoughts because she really needs love at the moment.

Have a Happy Last-Saturday-of-the-year!

Merry Day After Christmas!

I'm still sick, so is everyone else. But I think I'm making some progress. This morning Dad took me and himself out to a local restaurant/bakery to have a nice breakfast. It was rather soothing, for a change. We both agreed that it was absolutely lovely getting out of this house and getting into the fresh air atmosphere. We definitely needed it for sure. I felt somewhat better walking around, but then I reached my limit all too soon. I couldn't keep myself steady; he began complaining about the chilliness. That was about it : our journey's end : our time to come home.

Sorry this post is ending at such a weird spot. Must go and help Mum unpack now. She deserves as much help as she can get. Good night..

Merry Christmas?

Okay, well...I have never had a more "not-enjoyable" Christmas. I still feel so awful!! I'm still in bed, and I am coughing so much that I have back aches, and my throat is bleeding. Still dizzy when I walk, can't stay awake for too long. For some reason, I am starving all the time. Every time I eat something, I feel extremely hungry a little while later.

Mum took me to church this morning, which is traditional of course, but I could hardly handle myself! In a packed, tight area where I was constantly blowing my nose, coughing during prayers, and nearly collapsing in my chair. It was an awful experience. I could hardly concentrate.

I did get nice gifts, though. It was delightful, though money was quite tight this year.
Mum got me a gift card to a book store(I LOVE bookstores), and to Starbucks(Yes.....). Also, a matching set of ladybug stud earrings and a necklace.

Dad got me a croquet set(I haven't played before, but now we have a backyard!), and a professional badminton set(with a net and rackets and everything!). Both these activities came in a convenient carrying case.

This was very nice, though.

Did I mention everyone else is sick, too? My dad is sick and sore. So much, that Mum almost called emergency last night because of a really bad pain in his leg that was causing him to moan and yell.

Mum was fine, and all of a sudden she is sick. She is NEVER sick. She just doesn't get sick. It doesn't happen.

Please prayers for my family..which isn't looking too good.

I hope that everyone had a Merrier Christmas than me!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better then EVER!!!!!!!!!! I have so much news to give you! I am so excited! I cannot tell you how much I am bursting at the seams! Here is everything(eek!!!!) !!!

My Internet is back on two days earlier than it was supposed to be! Yes! I can finally, finally post.

Christmas is tomorrow! Whoohooo! After 365 days of waiting patiently.....

I have been awfully awfully sick since Thursday. Here's some evidence:
-My temperature went from 101 to 103 to 99 to 100 to 98 and I think something else, too.
-I was so dizzy over the weekend I felt as if I was going to collapse when we stood up.
-I have taken two liquid medications multiple times(I felt like barfing), and one pill.
-I went to the doctor and had all these measurements.
-My parents say I have never been this sick before.

Let's just say that I felt like dog food digested by a cat.

But..... On the bright side;

WE ARE IN A HOUSE!!! I AM CURRENTLY POSTING IN MY NEW ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know! I know! I have known since the start of December. I have been waiting for this moment where we are in the house to drop the bomb. Yes!!!!

The house is delightful.

Lovely.

I like it.

Anyways...

Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!

And belated Kwanzaa/Hanukkah. All that good stuff!!!!

Sigh.

Here is the mega problem of computer life:

-Internet is down on my laptop, I am using my Dad's computer because he just so happens to be in the kitchen.

-I will not be having Internet connection from the 21st until about a week's worth due to computer re locations at our home.....not fun.

-Also, I have had one test today, I will have one tomorrow, I am running a timed mile tomorrow, Project due Monday, Project AND test due on Tuesday. On top of it all, one of my best friend is having a birthday tomorrow(really Saturday, though.) This is the only good piece of news I bring you.

-I am upset, and please do not anger yourself because of my future lack of posts.
My next post might even be in 2008...

Missing my blog life:

Dorkier by the Minute.

Once again, I was being a geeky nerd-dork. Not really, but it sounded kind of cool. Anyways, I was sitting on the floor next to our coffee table. My dad has been sick lately and he was in the room. He coughed, sneezed, yawned..all that good stuff. When...all of the sudden...I sneezed.

Not just any sneeze, though! So strong, that my glasses flew straight off of my face!! It was unbelievable. I was like...woah...super sneezing strength equipped to sneeze the world away!

It was quite awkward when I looked up and saw a blurry figure called Dad is practically gagging himself to keep back snickers from watching my little "episode'. Quite interesting. Quite interesting, indeed.

Just thought I had to share that with you.

Man...here comes Monday. Wish my luck with beginning the week!!!

Good luck to yours, too!

Sometimes I Frighten Myself.

Tal, you are absolutely right! Why go through life worrying about the things we dislike? Where is that going to lead us? Considering your poetic ways, I decided to write my own poem. Please respect the following words and refrain for comments I might not want to hear. Appreciated.

The tantalizing creature beckons to you.
Temptation becomes too captivating.
It smiles devilishly, capturing your every thoughts.
Sensational in its exotic ways.
Tension escalates until a sole choice is yours and yours only.
Will you answer to its desperate calls?
Has its grip gotten to such a challenging state?
I say yes; eat the tootsie roll!

I know, I know, stuuuuuuuuupid ending. I was really in the mood for tootsie rolls, so I wrote it down while I was eating one. I thought that I should go ahead and post it.

As for the title of this post, I reached a whole new level of weirdness.

Ready?

Here we go..

I actually shampooed and conditioned my eyebrows.
Not while I was in the shower, but just a little while ago. I was talking to the mirror, and all of the sudden, I just had to groom my eyebrows! It was the most awkward thing that I ever did. I am okay with that, though. I AM UNIQUE!

This post has been brought to you by Ellie's Typin' Fingers!

Back, Finally,

Thanks for the wonderful comments. It feels for good to be back and posting. Homework has got me so stressed lately! I got my grades today, and I did excellent....except...for physical education. Darn it..... I hate that subject. I actually thought I was doing pretty good. whatever...

Top ten things I hate

10. A meal for dinner I dislike.
9. Missing a fav t.v. show or marathon.
8. Giving up a Friday for homework.
7. Giving up a Saturday for homework.
6. Reading Charles Dickens(not bad...just too confusing. same with Shakespeare).
5. Clipping my fingernails to short.
4. When I can't fall asleep.
3. Doing bad at school.
2. Physical education/people who are good at it.
1. Homework that is slowly killing me.

Other things i hate/dislike:

-This girl I know who is super good at physical education(yet still happens to be popular.)
-When I have a bloody nose for absolutely no reason.
-Setting the table .
-Waking up early on weekends.
-Homework on the weekends
-Studying for a super hard test.
-Writing and all of the sudden your pencil breaks.
-Writing and all of the sudden your pen explodes and all this ink splurts out.
-When your foot, back, or some other unreachable area starts to itch, tickle, etc.

More later....

Back on the House Hunt

Okay, so. We are back on the house hunt. We have seen multiple ads in the newspaper for things we would like to check out. We are already going over to see one later in the evening. Yay! Please please please be a good house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please....

On a completely different note.....

Today is Rachel's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday bestest friend!!!!

Okay, moving on, once again.

Have you heard of the Delany sisters? I just read the book "Having our Say" and it was tremendously great! I would recommend it to anyone mature enough to read it(I do not mean this offensively). They are two out of ten African children telling their story about the good life until segregation, feeling left out , fighting for their rights, and "living forever". Hope you check them out sometime.

Eureka! Friday!

Okay, so. Friday at last. Mum and Dad's anniversary was lovely. We all went out to dinner being treated by my Dad's daughter(only my half-sister). We all sang him Happy Birthday and got a piece of his birthday cake. It was quite nice!
Once again, I haven't been posting very often due to homework. It has got me so stressed out....again. I just got my new topic for my new research report. Come on! Already?? I guess so. Well. Woah! I just realized I have the whole Christmas color deal going on. LOL.
Tomorrow I am going to be completing my nice deed of volunteering to clean up my church tomorrow at 9:00. Awww.. How cute. yeah, well....I need to have the hours for a class. I'm okay with that, but still. I think I have mentioned this prior to this post, but oh well. Now that the time has come, I am going to mention it again.
Alleluia! I honestly don't know how to spell that word, so mind me. Anyways...... We finally got some rain! It was so satisfying to wake up to rain sprinkling heavenly upon my window pain! To smell the fresh shower thrust upon our state! Oh, how we needed it so much! It feels great. Except for the whole "I'm freezing but life off" situation. Well. One more announcement. My friend Rachel is going to have her birthday this Monday! yay! I think she is the oldest out of all of my close friends. Not quite sure, though. You can Bet on it, just don't Push it to the limit. This is the life! Isn't it Fabulous?

Wednesday

Finally, through half of the week. I can hardly wait until Friday has come. Exciting news, though! Tomorrow, two extremely important events are happening: Dad's birthday, and Mum and Dad's anniversary! On the same day! I know that it means less celebrating per each one, but I still think that it is so cool! I hope everything goes well. Oh no! I still have homework, better go now. Sorry for this nonsense post. I might do something later when I have a topic to talk about.

No Time!

So sorry that I haven't had much time to post. So cramped with homework! I can feel the stress again. Here's my schedule so far:

Monday: Started reading Charles Dickens in English(I don't even want to talk about how much homework I had in this subject). History wasn't bad. Math=boring. Science=BORING.

Tuesday: Read more Dickens. Had a sub in history, we watched the most boring video EVER. I finally got to eat half of my lunch outside of a classroom. Math=not so easy, review for test. Science, review for test.

Wednesday:(what I have scheduled). Test in math, BENCHMARK TEST! Homework review in all other classes(not very fun). Mini "decathlon". Not really. You can check out their site at www.greatauk.com. *sigh

Thursday: Science test! Not very hard, just not very fun. I strongly dislike exams. I usually do good on everything, but I just don't enjoy taking them. Parent's anniversary and Dad's birthday! WHAT ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!?!??!?!?!?

Friday: Relax! Not really. We are getting our grades back from our previous History research report(uh oh!), and we are getting the topics of our new ones. Do they not allow us a little break!?!??! I have to go home and then work on a research report!!!!

Saturday: Volunteer at my church for three hours. Not only do I have to get up earlier(not get up, but really get dressed) earlier then I want to, but then I am helping cleaning up. I have to get volunteer hours for each trimester because of one of my classes, and I really don't mind, so I am starting early. It's just that, there goes my Saturday morning slouch!

Sunday: Now I have to start on my research report. Mum and I go to the library every single week(she has a volunteer job there). How fun does that sound? Using up my other weekend day to do studies. Hmmmm.....

Hope I didn't ruin any one's day by droning on and on and on, but this is a pretty good way to "talk" about things.

'Till Next Time:

Ellie :)

Saturday!

So, I visited my friend Amy today at her house. We attend different schools, and it was really nice to see each other(you know, school rivalries are going around.) She has the most adorable pets! Two dogs, a tank of saltwater fish(imagine the colors!), and two new kittens they recently got. They were fostering them and others, and then they got to keep two! So lucky! They are absolutely adorable! It was extremely nice to see her.

When Mum and Dad picked me up, we were supposed to go and renew our passports(my dad and I had ours expired, while Mum's was still fine for a few more years). Of course, we weren't the only ones who had heard about the amazing opportunity. There was a line out the door(it was held at the post office), and there was a zigzagging line on the inside, also. We decided that it totally wasn't worth it.

Right now, I am eating spoon fulls of my frozen Starbucks strawberry creme frappuccino. Yum! I love freezing yummy treats! They taste so delicious the next day. Thanks, Tal, for the information on the double chocolate chip frappucino. I have heard a lot about it, and it was my second choice, but I just felt so much like I needed to have strawberries. Does anybody know the true spelling of frappuccino? I would be terrified to look as if I new how to spell it when I really didn't!

Also, awful news! Another Malibu fire arose! I am so upset! I just heard that a man from out of state moved into his house, and not even after one night there, he was evacuated from his house due to the flames. What a horrible California welcome! I have it on the news covering the topic now. Dad explained to me that the fire was the reason as to why the clouds looked so peculiar earlier. Not to say, the were gorgeous, but definitely different. I hope that everything goes well for us here. Send the rain!

One more thing, I am now a proud supporter of the World Wildlife Fund. I just purchased one of their shirts that says "Hug a tree". I love it. If you can(and only if you can) donate! My Mum's work company donates about one hundred dollars per month! Awesome! Thanks for listening, and sorry for the unusually long post, for me at least.

Ellie. Hug a tree! Now!

Happy Day After Turkey Day!

Well, woke up at about 5:25 this morning. I know, super crazy. Mum and I went shopping and found the following things: the annual Mickey Mouse mini snow globe give away, two tops for me, and that is it. We picked up donuts and drove back home. We both slept for about two or three more hours. At about 11:00 we ate lunch(leftovers from last night), and headed out once again. We bought the following things: a pack of five mechanical pencils for my school, a mini stapler, a pair of capris for Mum, a pack of v-neck undershirts for Daddy, a wallet half the size of my current one, and we picked up a drink at Starbucks on the way home. I ordered a strawberry creme frappuccino in a venti(the largest) size. It was my first time going there, and I absolutely LOVED it. The drink was so delicious. I sprang for the chocolate chip cookie, also, since it was all on a gift card my Dad got from his work. He detests any other coffee place except for his kitchen, so Mum and I always get it. We never did receive our cookie, though. We didn't make a big deal out of it. It was a smaller way of donating.

My day was so fabulous! I hope yours was, too.

Love,
Ellie. New motto: Hug a tree. Kiss the ground. Save the world.

Happy Turkey Day!

Yes indeed, today is in fact turkey day! Hooray! Finally! After an entire year of 365 days of waiting! Not that I was actually counting down are anything. I'm just trying to get into the spirit. My family will be having a quiet dinner(just the three of us) with turkey breasts, rice, stuffing, and maybe a few other delicacies. I am grateful for the fact that I am doing so well in school right now! What are you grateful for?

Anyway, do you go shopping early the next morning(which is going to be tomorrow, which is going to be Friday)? My Mum and I do. Last year I woke up at 4:00 in the morning to get ready. Shopaholics, they call us. Well, I'm not that into shopping, but my Mum definitely is.

Number one goal for today:

I have to see if the tennis courts are open today. They are NEVER open! I know it is Thanksgiving, but my family intentionally doesn't try and schedule our entire day. It gets to be so overwhelming. I am used to not bustling all over town for the holidays.

I hope everything turns out absolutely perfect for you on Thanksgiving day! Have fun!

Stress Stinks

I woke up fine this morning. No sign of rashes, or bumps, or red dots, or hives. I was so relieved; not only did everything return back to normal, but I got to sleep in due to no school!

My parents(at least my dad does) believe that it was all stress related.

Having to read a book in a certain time period that I wasn't understanding, all of my assignments overlapping each other. Regular things like that. It could be true, couldn't it? I don't know though. I'm so glad to be back to normal, though. Hopefully that I just said adios to that last bit of possibility concerning any diseases.

CHICKEN POX ARE HAUNTING ME.

NOT ONLY IS THIS MY 100TH POST(YAHOO!) BUT I HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY:

FUNNY CHICKEN POX COINCIDENCES/RELATIONS SO FAR TODAY

I WOKE UP WITH A BUMP ON MY NOSE TODAY, BUT IT WAS GONE BEFORE I GOT TO SCHOOL.

I WAS ITCHING ALL DAY TO OBLIVION.

I AM STILL ITCHING RIGHT NOW TO OBLIVION.

I WAS WATCHING A SHOW AND THREE PEOPLE WERE INCASED(IS THIS A WORD?) WITH THE CHICKEN POX.

I SAW ANOTHER SHOW WHERE A WOMAN TALKED ABOUT GERMAN MEASLES(ISN'T THAT ADULT CHICKEN POX. THAT'S WHAT I HEARD. NOT SO SURE, THOUGH. IF NOT, FORGET I SAID THAT.)

I BROKE OUT INTO OUTRAGEOUS HIVES TODAY AT THE STORE.

I DON'T THINK I AM HAVING AN ALLERGIC REACTION, I HAD NOTHING OUT OF MY NORMAL APPETITE.

MY PARENTS THINK MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE I WORE A SHIRT TODAY THAT I HAVEN'T OCCUPIED IN AT LEAST A YEAR(YAY...IT STILL FITS!).

HOPEFULLY I AM JUST GOING THROUGH SOMETHING.

I AM ALSO TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW IT LOOKS ON MY BLOG. I'LL CHANGE IT BACK IF I DON'T LIKE IT. DON'T WORRY: I'M NOT YELLING.

PLEASE HOPE TREMENDOUSLY FOR ME THAT THIS IS JUST A HEALTHY, NON-THREATENING "POWER SURGE" MY BODY IS EXPERIENCING. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SPEND THANKSGIVING LIKE THIS!

THANKS..... LOVE YAS.

Freedom!

I will finally be able to just relax. I have five days off from school!!! Yes!! FREEDOM! I have been pretty stressed with all of the projects going around now. Now I am given some free time to just lay back and relax. All of Monday and Tuesday were pretty good. I actually enjoyed it quite a bunch. Nothing really wrong. I had a math exam today, but it was fairly easy. Not the kind of test I could just zip through, but the kind where I understood what I was doing, kept a good pace, and had enough time to check my work and read for a while.

I have a question, though:

Is it seriously impossible to get chicken pox more than once in your lifetime? I haven't gotten them, yet, and I am worried. A couple people I know have already told me that it is worse when you receive it as an adult, because it is more harsh. That just doesn't sound to fun for me.

Another health-related question:

Have you ever noticed how whenever you get some type of flu vaccination, you tend to get the flu right after?

Maybe it is just me and stuff, but I've seen that happen often. My Mum's friend at work, just got a shot to prevent these kind of things, but she also just got sick from(guess what..), the flu!!! Hmm...coincidence? Physics? Weird?

One more non-health-related question:

Has anybody actually licked a tootsie roll Lolly pop and and counted how many times it took them to reach the center. I know two people in a couple of my classes who have. I think, if my memory serves me right, it took the at least half an hour for over 2,000 licks. Hmmm....

Rain?

Sorry, Andrew(see 4th Avenue Blues under "Blogs of Importance"), I would love to give you and Alabama some rain, but we have yet to receive some, either! California is breaking records with our outrageous heat! It seems as if it is all we get. I know I have repeatedly talked about this weather issue, but I am really upset! I want rain! Better yet(but I know this isn't going to happen), SNOW! I'd appreciate if everyone pitched in to do a rain dance. I think we could all use it.

I guess this is just the beginning of a result of not saving electricity. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of people who are saving the world, but for those who aren't, we are not being punished. We shouldn't ask the Earth to save us, though. She(I guess it is a she.) gave us a home and everything, we deserve nothing more from her.

Wow, I haven't thought hard about a worldly issue in a while. Well, there you go.

Tekka

I finally have decided on what I want. I like my blog looking like this. All I really need is just a little change. Thanks so much for kind words everyone! In about a week, the color pattern on my blog will look really cool!

Simple II

I know how simple this new design is, but I just can't handle any excitement at the moment. I just want to open up my blog to a white page with words on it. I need change sometimes, okay?

Hope you understand..

New Feature!!

I have added a new feature my blog.

Poll Time!

You can now take polls on various questions I will post. You will get about ten days to answer for each question. Now I have one about songs and music. Please check it out and recommend it to others! Thanks!

Also! This is the last Saturday before Thanksgiving!!!! woo hoo!!!!

Those People You Can't Live With Or Without.....

I was in math, right? I just happen to overhear the kids around me involved in an extremely interesting conversation. Here was there mystery question:

If you are shot on the International Dateline, and half of your body is on one side and the other is on the other side, when did you die?

No joke.....

Not kidding....

People surprise me....

I think you die when the bullet hit you....That's just my thoughts on it.

What Happened To The Rain?

I can't believe that it is back to hot times again. Come on?!?!? People are going to start going to the beach on Christmas......

Also, I still can't remember the bad news.

But My day today was a pretty good one.

How was yours?

Good News vs. Bad News

The Good News:

The killing ache in my foot has finally disappeared(probably due to the new pair of shoes!)

The Bad News:

OMG! I actually forgot what I was going to say(type) while I was typing "The Bad News".
How pathetic am I? I guess I'll have to post this without knowing(remembering, really), what the bad news is.

Sorry about that, I'm sure I'll remember.

Don't you just hate it when it was on the tip of your pitiful tongue, and all of the sudden, it disappears!

Taylor Swift

I have discovered a new, talented, young country singer. Her name is Taylor Swift(doesn't that explain the title of this post?). I believe that she is seventeen, not exactly sure, though. You should check her out. She sang at that Country Music Award deal.

Here are the links to a couple of her songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6s5cxBN8mA

Hope you liked these.

Just to let you know, I'm not much of a country music fan, but I particularly liked these.

Rain!

Finally, we have received something that doesn't often com upon us....rain. Our poor land here definitely needs to quench its thirst. Water is probably something it has longed for a while now.

I guess I can say good-bye to the hot days of summer, and say greetings to fall and winter. I hope fall gets itself over with, also. I'm not that big of a deal for this season. It doesn't seem very significant. I have not a problem if you favor Fall, or Autumn..whatever you want to call it, but I favor Spring the most. (then summer, and winter, and autumn.)

Hopefully everything(weather wise) is going great for you wherever in the world you are!

Interesting Facts

I found these among the Internet, and I thought that maybe you would like to read them. So, here they are...

-the faster a kangaroo hops, the less energy it burns.
-when your face blushes, the lining of your stomach turns red, too.
-The height of a bowling pin is equal to its circumference.(so does not look like it)
-The world's youngest parents were 8 and 9 and lived in China during 1910.
-Sharks and rays are the only animals known to man that don't get cancer. Scientists believe this has something to do with the fact that they don't have bones, but cartilage.
-The Giant cricket of Africa enjoys eating human hair.
-An apple, onion, and potato all have the same taste. The differences in flavor are caused by their smell. To prove this - pinch your nose and take a bite from each. They will all taste sweet.

That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed this!

Wednesday

Finally, the point of the work week that indicates it's almost over! Over half way through! I guess that's the best part about having a five(uneven) day week to work: only two days into it, your miserable, but wait just one more day, and you're almost done!!

A conversation with my friends:

Which Came First: the chicken or the egg?

My theory:

I believe that the egg came across from the cross-breed of two prehistoric creatures(basically the same as my other friend, Holly, and my other friend's(JJ) science teacher.

What's your theory?

Pig Dog

Yesterday, my family and I went to a street fair. There were multiple booths set up( actually go a real pearl necklace from there[ten dollars for a real pearl necklace!!!!]). They also had things such as wooden crafts, fundraisers, and hand blown glass ornaments.

We all noticed a peculiar sound, almost like a pig. When we turned around and looked down, there was an adorable Yorkshire terrier(also called a Yorkie). They are small and so cute! We watched the innocent dog as it appeared to be scared to death. Then it started to bark....or oink, really. Honestly, it sounded exactly like a wittle piggy! We were all amazed. Is this normal? we still thought it was irresistibly cute, but still....IS IT NORMAL?

Things Only To Discover...

I have no reason to post something like this, but I was really thinking about it.

Thinking that someone has beautiful eyes, only to discover they are wearing colored contacts.

Seeing your picture in the newspaper, or in print, only to discover that they spelled it wrong.

Turning the channel to your favorite show, only to discover it has ended or it at a commercial.

Putting on all of your clothes, only to discover you have put them on backwards.

Thinking that your act is absolutely wonderful, only to discover everyone else is ten times better.

Thinking you have no homework, only to discover your teacher is going to give it to you at the end of the period.

Studying really hard for a test, only to discover you studied the wrong chapter, or got the test date wrong.

Putting together an excellent outfit, only to discover someone else has the same thing on.

I don't believe that any of these have happened to me(except for the homework one.), but I decided to take the time to think about these.

Doctor's Appointment

Today after school I had to rush over across the school and back to Dad's car once the bell rang. I get out ten after three, having a doctor's appointment basically ten minutes later. Impossible to get through the rush of kids....impossible. But I did it because impossible spells out I "M" POSSIBLE. Cheesy, huh? I got it from an e-mail.
I had the normal weighing, measuring, and body function testing. I had to get three shots, though! THREE! They are the ones that hurt when you get them, a little after, but they really kill ya the next day. I'm up to a lot of fun tomorrow. Wish me luck on my arm pains..(did i mention one on my left, two on my right?)

Weekend

Saturday night, I went to a dance. When I got back, I was preparing for my half sister, her husband, and her two children to come from Alaska. They were coming down for a wedding happening one week ahead of time, but they were taking a mini vacation prior to it. Sunday I took them out for a walk around the building, (my nieces are both younger than me, and quite a handful) took them to the mall, and shared my room with them. Seven people in an apartment? Two bathrooms? But hey..we made it work. Today I was pretty miserable because they were all going to DisneyLand for the week. I was physically capable of going, but my we would all be missing school or work. It was just not going to work. I am so jealous of them...

Ahh...go to the link above. Quite an interesting blog that I discovered through the Blogs of Note. I actually enjoyed. Hope you do, too.

btw, I have no tennis lesson today due to the bad air quality...I'm kind of disappointed.

Cell Phones

I just read an interesting article about the use of cell phones today on the msn.com home page. Please note that I am just using the art of "copy and paste" to post the article here. I have nothign to do with the writing on it. If you wish to day so, go to this web page to confirm: http://tech.msn.com/products/articlecnet.aspx?cp-documentid=5569792&page=2

On Call: Mind Your Cell Phone Manners
Kent German, Senior Editor, CNET Reviews
1 2 Next >
Kent German, CNET's cell phone guru, wants to answer your questions about cell phones, services, and accessories. Send him a question!
Have you ever experienced a cell phone user whom you wanted to pack up and ship to Miss Manners? Or have you ever witnessed a person on a cell phone do something so completely rude that you stop in your tracks? I have, and it continues to intrigue me just how polarizing cell phones can be. Sure, almost everyone has one, but they can drive even their most loyal users crazy.
Though I write about cell phones every day, even I think it makes perfect sense that cell phones are continually cited in studies that say good manners have gone out of the window. You don't need a sociology degree to see just how handsets have changed how we relate to each other; and I'm not talking about their positive effects (though indeed there are some). Rather, I'm talking about how you can put a cell phone in an otherwise courteous person's hand and then watch how that person loses all awareness of the people around him. __________________________________________

Let me emphasize that I'm no luddite. I think cell phones are great and serve a very useful purpose. But just as people hide behind e-mail to avoid face-to-face communication, it's amazing how some cell phone users think a handset makes them so much more important than everyone else. Here's some extreme behavior I've seen and be sure to share your own experiences and advice, as well.
Be nice to the person behind the counterLast week I was waiting in line to order lunch behind a man blabbing away on his phone. When he got to the counter, he handed the cafe employee a piece of paper with his order and said, "I'm on an important call." So is it just me or is that completely rude? Doesn't the person behind the lunch counter deserve just an ounce of respect? I think so. Next time Mr. Important, hang up or at least put your caller on hold.
Take it outsideI'm also in favor of taking your phone outside, or at least away from the table, when you get a call in a restaurant. No one around you, much less your tablemates, cares to hear what you have to say. That is, unless you're guiding someone to your table in a cavernous eatery. And if it's really important, you could always text. But even that has a limit, as well.
Use your inside voiceI'm always fascinated how people's voices (me included) automatically go up a few decibels when they get on a cell phone. I can understand when you're using your phone in a crowd, near a construction site, or next to your local airport runway, but it happens even in quiet rooms. I just don't get it.

Fire Update

Everything is still fairly bad. More fires have started, but I am pretty sure that they might have a few under control. Dad says that there have been over 900 houses and industry building burned to the ground. Amazing, huh? Amazing in a really bad way, of course.

I had a communication class later on tonight, but they canceled it. We weren't allowed to eat lunch outside today. The air quality is still bad, but not as bad as I think it has been.

Thanks for the nice comments everywhere, and it really helped.

Also..to lighten your day, Amy sent this to me and I thought that it was hilarious.

Restaurant Blunders-
"Open seven days a week. Closed Sundays." -- On the bottom of a pizza parlor's take-out menu.

"Parking for drive-through customers only." -- A sign at a McDonald's in California.

- "Eat Here - Get Gas" -- A sign at a gas station.

- "Is this for here or to go?" -- Asked of a Dairy Queen customer at a drive-through window.

Waitress: "would you like your bread sticks with or without cheese?". Customer: "What's the difference?"

- "How many pieces are in the eight piece chicken meal?"

- "Does your ice cream contain dairy products?" -- A customer at the drive-through of a fast food restaurant.

Did I make you smile? Thanks again Amy!

Fire.

All surrounding where I live, there are several different fires going on. Most of them in a 20 mile radius.

It all started a couple of days ago or so when the wind was really picking up. The next morning, I woke up to hear the Malibu fire. Throughout the day, more and more fires picked up. The news was blasted the entire time yesterday. The air is awful to breathe, the sun can't be more vibrant, and more people couldn't be threatened.

I woke up this morning to hear that there are still some fires flaming up. I feel so bad for those who have evacuated, considering I already know family who have.

Feel lucky today to live at the place you live in now.

Also...you might want to start thinking about and emergency pack, if you haven't already! I guess you really have to be prepared. I learned that. I'll keep you updated.

After Tennis:

So...I am back from tennis. The first ten minutes, I swear: I didn't hit one ball. I'm pretty sure that Joe and the other side was getting pretty aggravated with me.

I am finally back to live in my own home. Well, not really "my own", considering the fact that my family has to pay to continue our existence here.

When I got home, Mom arrived not too long later. Dad brought out a package for me. It was a belated birthday gift. I was so excited! By the way they addressed me as "Miss", I already knew who it was. (family from out of state). I received a hand made tote bag from my niece, and a dark periwinkle, zip-up jacket. It is wonderful! Fuzzy! And comfortable!

Now that I have told you about my time after tennis, I must part to do homework.....boo hoo hoo. Wow. That was lame. Oh well. Hi friends!

Tennis

Okay...I'm off to tennis. I don't particularly want to be there, but that's just because I don't want to run, or be there. Yeah... I hate all the others in my class, so that's a big downer. I only like two people. Hopefully the time will go by. Wish me luck...

Through My Eyes....Literally.

BTW, thanks for trying, Tal. Grapes are good, you just have to try them out at the store before you buy them, to make sure they aren't sour or anything. But I meant to post for a different reason.

Tonight I finally went to the optometrist. I am so glad to finally be able to see the light above me. I can see it crystal-clear. I have been complaining about my eye sight because I have been having a bit of trouble reading the school boards. I have been bringing my old pair of glasses there, seeing if I wear those and my contacts together if it works alright. I got a new pair of contacts(they work so well!!!!!!), and a new pair of glasses, with a completely different frame. Well, not that different, just different. I'm watching a movie tonight to celebrate. I love being able to see. The only bad news is that my eyes have gotten a lot worse since last year. The doc said that it was HUGE jump, but sometimes that happens to people, and then they start have many smaller jumps. Doesn't sound like much fun. Wish me luck with my new pair.

P.S. I am also eating gum at the moment. But sugar free!!!

Proven Facts About My Dislike of Healthyness

Lately I haven't been eating the right things. About the healthiest thing I have had during my past week would be a few baby carrots, and a mini apple(note the sizes given to food). That was last Friday. This morning I was supposed to pack a few healthy snacks along for my lunch(noodles steamed that morning). What do I pick? Three pieces of licorice(Twizzlers), and a tiny packet of peanut m&ms. My doctor says I am fine. Well, at least the last time I went there he said that.

Other evidence I have good to the sweet side:

-I love tea, but I dump about a gallon of honey into it(exaggeration of course).
-I have pretzels for breakfast, accompanied with powder sugar(I am not normally someone who likes things that are very sweet. For example..I don't like cake or pie very much. So this is kind of weird for me).
-I am eating a Twizzler as a type this.

Is there any type of food that is healthy, and it can be tasty, too?

Happy Monday

I can hardly believe that I put those two words together. Happy, and Monday, don't really happen very often in my world. But I had a fairly good start to the week.

I'd appreciate if you looked at the new item on my "Blog of Importance". Notice Marsupial Man, a.k.a. Paul. Check out another amazing writing edition, along with Tal's Blog. They both do poetry, but let's just say....they rock! Go ahead....check 'em out.

Yes!

I'm finally back on!! Yes! I have finally reached Internet access. Here was my weekend: Spending all night with a bunch of my friends in a big center thingy for Friday. Went to a party on Saturday, had a friend over that night, and I'm going to another friend's play later this day. I had an awesome weekend.

By the way....what is wrong with saying oh my? And "What in the world"?. Seriously JJ, why do you seem so upset every time I say that? It bugs me.....
Is it wrong to say this?

Thanks a bunch Tal, it really helped me a lot. I needed edit/delete a couple.

Oh My. So Sorry!

Our computer is screwing up AGAIN, and I hardly every get time in this thing. It must hate me. I'm so sorry that I can't post very often. I wish I could. Nothing happened lately, really.

I've been going to school, like normal.

I volunteered at my old elementary school when they had a Music Festival(I needed the hours).

My Auntie fell down a mini ladder, and she is now in a sling. Pray for her please?

My neighbor is sick next door. Allergies. Pray for her, too?

Nothing real exciting happening. I went to a workshop this evening about speaking up about your opinion, and I never met people who seemed so.....opinionated before. I'll let you know more later. Thanks for reading. Better publish this before they go off on me.

Oh yeah! Does anybody know how to take off a post once it is published? Thanks?

Heartbreak Middle School

When since I've been in middle school.....

They've loaded me up with work....

Now all I need is one simple thing.....

To make it all disappear......

I get so stressed. I get so stressed.....I could die....

Or Something Like That

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been quite busy. We had a hilarious guest speaker yesterday, quite enjoyable. Amazing way with teens of our age. It made my day almost comical, I guess. This morning, I had to run a mile for a test. I was timed, and I really didn't want to run it. On the bright side, I beat my record my seven second. Seven seconds is a lot, right? Oh yeah........

I had tennis today, again. I hate this one kid in my class, I swear, he is so annoying..He thinks he is some pro, when he really isn't.....

I found two interesting things today on campus.

1.) I heard my classmates giggling because they knew a girl whose last name was Winklers.

2.) I heard a gang of guy joking about how his girlfriend has a mustache.

Oh..the interesting things I here.

Best news ever! I got Mah-jong back!! Yes....I am so excited. But I haven't had a chance to play it, yet. I have been so preoccupied. There's the little catch up about me.

One more thing, my throat and nose have been feeling much better. See what tea can do for you?

Monday, October 1, 2007

Life

Surprisingly, my Monday wasn't so bad. I enjoyed the actual school day, I took a little break once I got home, and then I still managed to finish my homework without the unruly stress. I had a fairly good start to the week. How did everybody else manage?

Life hasn't changed much since the last time I posted. I am feeling much better, for I have been slurping tea down nonstop. I feel as if it has really helped my soar throat.

Due to a trampoline accident, I injured my arm for about five minutes. But you know what? I am perfectly fine now. I barely even feel it. I am so over it.

I also read a manga book this afternoon. You know....anime type things. I did because of my friend Kira. For as long as I have known her, she has always loved manga. We even went to an Anime Expo Convention once. I decided to give it shot because I should try reading at least one during my lifetime. As you may or may not know, this was authentic manga, which means that the pages were backwards and you read in a certain order, from right to left. (you would have to see one for yourself to understand). I will back off, though. That is totally her thing.

Yes! I finished Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It was so awesome! Now I am currently reading the book The Golden Compass. very popular among the teens. I am quite enjoying, the first sixteen pages have been quite interesting. Anybody know what a daemon is? I would like to know. If you have read it, then you would know what I am talking about.

Hope you all had a great Monday.

Saturday!

Yay for me! Yay for you! Yay Yay Yay!

I am so happy that the weekend is back to greet me. But I have sad news : I am getting sick. I almost am. I have the sniffles, and a sore throat. I felt it coming last night while I was typing up a paper. I tried having two soothing cups of tea to prevent it as much as possible. Not one, but two! That obviously wasn't working to well for me. It could have been a lot worse. I'm seeing a friend today, so maybe if I take a cold shower, I'll feel better.

Wish me luck in my spiritual healing. Thanks so much everybody!

Oh yeah, check out my Blog Of Importance. I have a new addition. Tal's Blog, which has awesome posts of poetry. Nice to read when you just need to relax. Please check it out....Mahalo.

Happy Friday

Ahhh... The one day I look forward to every school week. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't post right now, because I still have homework!

Thursday Morning

I am glad to report that it is Thursday Morning, hence the title of this post. That means that we only have two more days until the weekend! Woohoo! I am so glad, so glad, so glad. Except for the fact that I was cramming all of my homework in so I can at least get whatever is do today done. This weekend I'm not sure if I actually have any plans. I know I have to stay in probably all day on one of them to finish all of my long term projects. That I don't want to do at all. But I have to. I'll let you know how my blog went on earlier.

Recap

Okay, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I just haven't found the time. Let me get you back up to speed, kay?

Saturday:Museum with family. We saw butterflies. Twelve landed on Mum.

Sunday:Saw movie/spent day with a couple of friends. Hi!

Monday(today): I had to go to school, dang. We did nothing much, just watch videos and talk and have lunch and listen to the teacher. Homework not bad. All better? Okay.

Any other details about me you ought to know:

I am almost done reading my research book.!.!.!.! Yes. Hoorah! Yay! Okay.

I wish I had something cool to tell you all, besides the fact that my neighbors are stinky. I mean it. They are always being a nuisance. But by any chance they are reading this, I love them.

I'll be sure to keep you posted. I'm just happy that I finally have Internet, after losing it once more.

Tennis

Seriously, only four of us showed. Three girls, and a guy. (One of the three being me). I still had an awesome time. I honestly think that all of us are at about the same playing level. We all know the basics, and we just have to build of from there. Much better than my last class.

My classmates are pretty cool. I even found a person who knows another friend of mine. What a small world..... One kid is really good. I even think that his parents stayed afterward to see if he is can move up to the advance level.

My teacher is much better, also. He is very patient, but doesn't waste time. The only thing was that we jumped right into it. Instead of stretching or jogging first. But I can live without any of that stuff. So..Yeah.. That was my day of tennis.

It's a Bird! It's a Plane! No..It IS a Bird!

Today we had something quite interesting happen at school. We saw a hawk! Yeah...I real live hawk! It was all tangled up by the stairway. We all thought it was stuck, but it was really down there to eat a rabbit. Amazing, huh? Seeing nature at its best. So wonderful. It was a very wort while event. That was pretty much the highlight of my day.

It's a Bird! It

Hump Day(Read On Before You Make Conclusions)

Amy, (anonymous), yes, you do know both of these friends. One starts with a J, and the other starts with a K. Oh yeah! K got her ears pierced!!!! Isn't that exciting? She has these diamond looking things in them. They are so pretty. Moving on.

I titled this "Hump Day" because it is. Every Wednesday is Hump Day. Starting on Monday, we were working up the "Hump Of The Week". Now, at the end of Wednesday, we are going down the "Hump Of The Week." Get it? Yeah.

Today wasn't so bad. I actually got ahead in schoolwork. I have finished assignments that aren't due until next week, or at the end of this one. Pretty good for me, considering I have a few tests coming up all over the place.

Tonight, I decided to celebrate my "I'm Ahead On Homework" moment. I went out to a department store, and bought a small red handbag(clearance) and a pair of blue dangle earrings(costume type).

Oh yeah! Ear Update! I can officially wear costume jewelry. Just not every day. I am allergic to anything that is not real gold. I can now wear earrings that are fake, a couple times a week. Better that nothing, right? I'll take it. I am trying to build up on everything. Maybe two times for a couple of weeks, three times, then four, and so on. Maybe by the time I am twenty, I will be able to wear them all the time. Hopefully...

Thanks for reading today!

Wait! I forgot! We found the tennis park!!! Yes!!!!! It's only like an extra five to ten minutes further, not so bad. I'll be starting tomorrow. I'll fill you in. You know. Hate my teacher? Hate my classmates? Love my teacher? Love my classmates?

Tuesday

Thanks for your comments everybody. Holly, I'm so glad that you found out how to comment. Thanks for the belated birthday singing, Andrew. I'm glad to hear that you had a nice Monday, Juliette. I should know...shouldn't i? I was there.

Anyway, homework wasn't so bad today. But that's not the bad news.

My family gets a call saying that they took my tennis lessons starting on Thursday, and moved it to some other location. They just gave us some park name, but we have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER as to where it is. So, that's not particularly. Good. Hopefully, we'll figure it out soon because it starts Right after my classes, giving my a half hour to get there. I really hope it is close, also. Or else, I'm not exactly in the best situation here.

Abut my Tuesday? Most exciting thing was when Juliette dropped my lunch in the trash. But don't worry, I got it back. It wasn't a bad thing, just kind of funny.

Also, a friend is getting her ears pierced this week, wish her luck!!

One more thing, another friend(I don't know is she wants her name said aloud) is getting glasses this week. Not to excited, and I don't blame her. I hope she gets contacts, she looks very nice without glasses.

I Hate Mondays

Mondays...I HATE them. I have another case of the Moandays. If only they would get rid of Mondays, and then start the week on Tuesday. But then I'd hate Tuesdays. Move it over? I'd hate Wednesdays. Move it over? I'd hate Thursdays, and so on, and so on. See? There is absolutely no way of escaping.

Today's Monday wasn't super bad. I had much homework, sure, but I expect that pretty much on a regular basis now. Nothing really devastating happened today. I guess I should be grateful that I'm still here, right? I'll just look at everything that way. Maybe I should say three things I'm grateful for everyday. I'll say...

1. I am grateful that I did not forget any homework.
2. I am grateful that I had a delicious coffee-cake breakfast this morning.
3. I am grateful that the computer is still up and running, for now.

Actually, why am I even complaining? Now that I really think about, I had a fairly decent day. Thanks for reading this completely waste-of-a-post anyhow.

My Sunday

Andrew is another blogger friend. Check out his blog under my Blog Of Importance. It's the first one, 4th Avenue Blues.

Anyway,
Thanks for Birthday wishes everybody! Amy, what you can do rocks my world. Don't stop. (0_o) shea.

Today, I went to a theme park. With a friend. We went on mummy rides, so fire shows, water shows, went on a very..er...interesting tour, and we went on a dino ride. Pretty fun all in all. I got souvenirs!!! I love love love souvenirs. Of course, I got a key chain to add onto my collection.

I can't believe the weekend has ended. I don't want it to ever ever end!!! I loved my birthday weekend. Why!?!?!?!??!?!?!???!??!!??!!??! I'm over it. I just don't want to wake up early in the morning tomorrow.

Birthday Day

Had so much fun today(yesterday really). I'm writing in short sentences. Because I am to tired to really use my brain.

We went out to breakfast.

I had my nails done(it's a girl thing).

I went shopping with gift cards.

We went to church. (I got to bring the host up....YES!!)

I went to a Dance with two of my friends, Kira and Juliette.

Oh yeah, Juliette got a new blog, she's familiar with blogger, but she's back on.

Her new address is www.thisismypublicdiary.blogspot.com

Please welcome her. Thanks.

My Friends Rock!

A few of my friends came early to school today to do an awesome thing.....for my birthday........but moving on.....

They went up and decorated my locker with balloons, wrapping paper, candles, and everything else. I got to class a little bit early, too, where everybody had gift bags and one stepped forward and presented me with the following : princess crown, a princess wand, funky party glasses, and two gifts. She gave me a rapping frog. I mean...it actually raps. It has a gold medallion around its neck, funky glasses(just like mine), and an awesome outfit. She also gave me a Buddha statuette and two candy bars...TWO!!!! The frog came with a card, by the way.

My other friend gave me a cute little tinker toy. A pet!!! A virtual pet!! It is so adorable. I miss having virtual pets, like I used to a few years ago. My childhood(not that it was too long ago) is slowly flashing through my eyes. I had a sign that said things like "hug me" and "it's my birthday, almost"(my bday is tomorrow, by the way). Everything was so adorable. They really worked hard. And I appreciate it..again. Thanks guys!!!

A Beautiful Gift Just For Me

Dad bought me the most gorgeous gift ever.

It is a little merry-go-round that plays a soft tinkling song called Blue Danube Waltz. It is plated in a shimmering gold, with intricately carved designs. The top bowls up in a tent shape with baby blue and candy pink triangles all along. Around it, a crown rings around in a lovely way. I love the porcelain white horses, with sweet wings that soar around in circle to the sound of music. It is absolutely wonderful. I am so grateful for it, and I gave it a special seat on my bed stand.

An Awkward Moment In Time

Let's listen to a story I have to tell. It was approximately 10:00 p.m. on the dot on a Wednesday evening. Wednesday, the 12th of September, to be exact. I sat in my chair signing onto blogger. I reached up with my left hand to quickly rub the sleepiness out of my eyes, until finger skin came in contact with a USO(unidentified sticky object). I pulled a little at it, imagining it was my skin(why, I don't know. I decided to have a gross moment, okay , maybe I did know.).

It was not my skin, thank the heavens it wasn't. It was a piece of tape. Here is the mystery of it all.....I haven't touched tape at all today!!!! Scary, huh?

I have nothing else to blog about, though.....

A Sign from the Gods? A sign from my conscience? Or a sign from the tape dispenser? The world may never know....

Six Years Ago

Quite an unfortunate event happened in the United States six years ago, today. I hope we can all recognize what that event is. Many lives were lost(by the way, if you just don't know, look it up) many innocent, innocent lives were taken from the world. I ask that you say the pledge of allegiance today in honor, if you haven't already. I couldn't imagine ending a life like that.

I remember being in class when it happened. I recall having the teachers watching it on television, but it just might be my mind taunting me. It's always hard to go through days like these, thinking about the tears and the blood that was shed. Be grateful we are hear in the world today.

Sorry about the touchiness in the post, but I don't do these often. So you can live through one of them...I just know

On the upside(there always is an upside to these posts), Mum got me a shiny, blue mechanical pencil this evening. Very nice, very nice indeed. Thanks for reading.

Maya Madness

My new friend Maya has opened up her own blog. She can sometimes be shy, but she can also really open up. I would appreciate if you visited her once in a while to welcome her to blogger at www.mayamadness.blogspot.com
There isn't much on it yet, but she'll add on. Thanks for the support!

Yes, I know

I have two post declaring my hate for Mondays. I am indeed aware of this. Blogger said that I made an error and that I should try publishing again. Maybe they were the ones with the error. On the upside, I'm having KFC for dinner. Yum. You all know what that is, right? Kentucky Fried Chicken? The number one invention from Kentucky.

Happy Monday!

Mondays...I hate Monday's.....Anybody else hate them? They just remind me that the weekend is over and I have homework, class, and more homework to do. Shall we suffer together?

P.S. Anybody who can think of a good reason why Mondays were invented, please speak to me.

Happy Monday!

Man....Once again, It is Monday. I hate Mondays. Does anybody else hate Mondays as much as I do? You have to get up early, go to class, go to work, everything starts up on Mondays. It just reminds me that I have another entire week to endure. Shall we all suffer together?

Why Go To Church

Why? You ask why? There are so many reasons beyond religion. Tonight was a rather interesting mass. When the organ first started off in the greeting song, a bird started chirping, and it echoed all throughout the hall. What do you know? I was seated right under the organ(it's located upstairs, if that makes more sense.) So all of thy neighbors were looking upwards, and if someone who couldn't hear it were to look at us, they would have thought we looked kind of crazy, not that I would blame them, it did look sort of funny to me.

Next were the multiple phones beeping, booping, and ding-a-linging. Don't you know to turn it off? It sounded like someone was playing a game on it. Sadly, Mum was one of these people when she turned off her phone., You know how it makes a turning off sound? Yeah...

Then after communion, I was seated in my pew, when a lady walked by our aisle, and waved...at us. She started talking and then she pointed at me. But she was smiling like we were best friends.
Then she mumbled, "I know you!"
And walked away.
Honestly, Mum and I had no clue who she was whatsoever.
Dad was like "Which one of your little friends don't I know?"

It was actually quite awkward, as you might imagine.

Then some lady next to Mum asked what color nail polish I had. She studied my hand and said that she liked it. The thing was, my nail polish was clear, so it looked like I had none on at all. See what people do to me? They mess with my mind.

Thanks for listening, I'm almost looking forward to next week when I go again.

I just tried uploading pictures, and of course it didn't want to work for me. Sorry about this. You can just google yan yan and pocky if you're that interested. Once again, anybody know how to just upload these on without having to click any address? It would make my life so much easier.

Yan Yan and Pocky

Just click on the "x" to view, anybody know how to automatically get them up?

I absolutely love these delicious treats. I get them every once in a while, since the store that they are found at takes up a whole day to get there(with traffic), to actually shop around, and then to come back home(with still a bit of traffic).

Yan Yan comes in a cylinder-like package that contains two parts divided in half. One half serving thin crackery goodness, the other side offering smooth cream coming in flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry(you can occasionally find nuts, too). You just simply dip, munch, enjoy. So worth the 75 cents I paid for it. I got three......I've always loved this stuff, so I was told.

Pocky comes in more of a thin box container. These are just even more crackers about as thick as a stander-sized pencil. These already have the cream-dipped theme, so you don't have to bother with messing up with the liquidy goop(goop in a good, very good, way.). This also comes in many different flavors, generally the saem as yan yan.

Auntie! Part Two

Just as planned, everything was wonderful. It was just lovely seeing her again, living in the same house she has for ages and ages. But...She had a few surprises for me. Her daughter is now living back with her. She is recovering from a few addictions, so please have her in mind. She was still very kind to me. I enjoyed seeing someone living with my Aunt. I know that she is perfectly fine taking care of herself, but you can never be quite sure.
She brought over a small blue big with my name across it. A few doo-dads as an early birthday present(my birthday is this upcoming Saturday...yes! only a week.) were neatly wrapped and packaged in tissue papers caressing linen bags. A calculator(I could really use this), and trinkets that would fit in perfectly with our collection. I was very please with the outcome.
It was such a great day today. Everything seemed to be going right on my part, except for the fact that we just found two more people trying to hack into our system, and then our phone bill has numbers outside of state, that we don't recognize. Maybe not the best of news, but at least I'm happy, right?

Auntie!

Today we are going over to see my Aunt, who lives only about an hour to an hour and a half away. It's been forever since I have seen her, and it'll be nice. My good friend Amy, this is not Aunt Di Di, if you ever thought of that. How are the doggies, by the way?

But I digress. Anyway, my Aunt has the most adorable doggie that she got from an animal shelter. She adopted this cute little pooch. He is a lap dog, and he loves to nuzzle against your leg. So sweet. Can't wait to see them both. I'll let you know how the trip went.

Happy Friday!

Yes, indeed. Friday is back with us again...yes! Everything went fairly well today. Nothing spectacular. Yesterday we took pictures, and I'm pretty sure I only had one half of my smile up. They take it so fast! A friend even said that the photographer called her "baby girl" at the end of almost every sentence. I only got sweetheart. Humph. Maybe what I got was better, though. I have nothing to complain about. Everybody have an awesome weekend! I'll be back.

The Adventures Of Spikey And Mister

Spikey:"Pretty Bird!"

Mister: "Pretty, Pretty Bird!"

Spikey: "Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Bird."

Mister: "Chiquita!"

Spikey: "Chiquita!"

Mister: "Pretty Chiquita!"

Don't they have a way with words?

Zap!

I killed a living creature. I am an awful person! I saw it in my bathroom. It stared back at me with repent in its eyes. But I showed no mercy. I grabbed my zapper. I electrocuted that fly(I'm pretty sure it was a fly) like it had no tomorrow, and now, it really doesn't. *sigh

this has been a true story from Ellie.

Ha Ha!

Yes....I'm on. Anyway, I've been swamped with homework(well not really, it's just not that fun), and I have finally found time to blog again. And, my computer is agreeing with me.....yahoo!

Nothing new and spectacular in my life going on! Just missing my friends....you know who you are, or at least you should. Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to say, but this is it. I think I have to go study for a test I just remembered I have.

Before I leave, thanks to those who still visit me in my lonesome blog world. Movies? Blades Of Glory. Sorta silly. Books? Started Twilight. Birdies? LOUD. There you have it: a recap of everything you missed.

Computers Are Deceiving

I thought everything was okay again. Until some intruder started getting into our computer. It still is at the moment, but now we have times in between to do whatever we have to go before it shuts off again.

Anybody heard of Blue Screen? That's the thing that keeps messing everything up. Who would want to cause so much inconvenience for others? Probably someone who doesn't have much of a life but hacking. This could be a person or some virus thing. I guess I'll have to deal.

In addition to everything else, our printer isn't working. Fortunately, school hasn't required any printing yet. I'll have to go to the library for most of it. Darn..... Thanks for sticking with me.

Ahh...Back To Normal

I'm here, I'm finally here. Thanks for all of the nice comments along the way. Once we finally got everything installed, I couldn't get the Internet to work. After messing with it for a very short, yet productive, time I finally got it back together. Now I think I have something stuck under the space bar. I am now having to really push on that sucker. Now where is that gas cleaner?

Second day back to school. Everything went well, but I think my sweat was sweating. You probably didn't need to know that, but it is so true.

Computer Fixed

We finally got the laptop fixed....I am so excited! You will hopefully hear from me soon. By the way, today was back to school day, in case you haven't figured out I'm still in school. (I'm not really that old!)

Good News and Bad News

I guess I was wrong, I have indeed been finding time to update my blog everyday. The good news: the hard drive came in today. But we still need a CD to go along with it. Why couldn't they have sent them both together, instead of in different packages, and apparently on different days....?

The bad news: I saw ANOTHER accident. This time, I was there to actually see it, like see it happen. We were innocently driving home, when. we heard brakes squealing, and when we turned to our left, a white truck flew into a gas station, taking out a sign, the front of another car filling up with gas, and recking itself. The guy inside the white truck immediately leaped out of his car to check out the woman who owned the smashed car, and to check out the sign. Nobody even noticed the shrubbery, though. Plants are living, too! Living plants died today.....and nobody seems to care. Even though I guess the woman is pretty important, too.

There was a red car that followed behind me, also involved with the collision. Dad thinks that maybe the red car tailed the white truck, and that launched it forward. I mean, this car was like....flying past at an incredible speed. It was all quite scary. Nobody appeared to be seriously hurt, though. I'm glad, too. That could have really ended badly. So, there was the event to my day. Even though I enjoyed lunch with Mum, and fresh flowers.

One last piece of news....I have taken back my %%%. To complicated to remember. And besides, it's not like I really needed to have something like that. Thanks for still reading.

Shhh!!!

I sneaked(I thought it was snuck, but then word spell corrected me. Is this right? Snuck just looked right to me) on to here just so I could update. Thanks for the support Amy. Well, we still don't have the hard drive, not that I expected it, I was just really really really hoping it would. Dang. Anyway, dog luver, are you e-mailing me at the right one? I don't answer my old one anymore. I only check it about one or twice a month....... I answer to my new one. Hopefully this gives you the answer.
Okay, so we had a pool party recently, but I doubt I'll be able to report on it at the moment. I splashed, I swam, I played pool game, I warmed up in the jacuzzi(oh yeah.....), and I got out. Pretty much sums it up. I had an awesome time. Tradition rocks!

Tick Tick Tick Tick Boom

That is exactly was my laptop did. I am now sneaking onto the family computer(which isn't often free) to write this post. Hopefully I will be able to publish everyday until my laptop gets fixed, but don't count on it. I might not be here for a week, maybe longer. I will probably find some time everyday, though.
The laptop's hard drive blew up. Not good. We were on the phone trying to fix it, and some company has to mail us a whole new program. We have to start over. All of my documents, pictures, and everything else is gone!!!!! Even Mahjong! I was really doing good...Oh well. I'm sure I'll catch up. Well, sorry for this, but everything will be back to normal soon.
Yesterday, we had a pool party, but at the moment, I can't report on it. Rachel will probably be mad for this. Sorry. Okay? I promise that everything will be back to normal soon enough, I hope.

Three A Day Challenge

I am starting a "Three a day challenge".

Now what exactly is this challenge? You have to do three nice things per day. Sounds hard doesn't it? That's why you call it a challenge. Here are three examples of things you could do that would pass.

1. Call up someone you know at work, or someone you haven't talked to in a while. Just check in and say hi. Do a little catching up.

2. Make breakfast for someone you live with. Someone you wouldn't normally make breakfast for. And if you always make someone breakfast, make it look really interesting. You know, the bacon and eggs smile sort of thing.

3. Offer to take over another person's job for the day. Like, if you see someone at work who is having a little trouble, and you have nothing better to do, ask if they would like your help.

Another great thing to do is email people daily. It's a great feeling when you open up to your email and you see a little something waiting there for you. Makes your day just a little more exciting doesn't it?

Now, take this Three A Day Challenge. Who's with me?

More Adventures Of Spikey And Mister

I had them both in my bedroom. I was just spending some quality time with them. Both were perched next to each other, talking to their reflection in the mirror. Too cute. I noticed that Spikey was getting a little antsy, like he wanted to go on another one of his flying marathons. I brought him onto my bed, and soon after, Mister was also there. Spikey explored the light blue comforter, and hopped onto the wooden shelves attached to my head rest. He found a little photo holder that had soft spikes coming out from its sides. He was instantly attracted to it. As he battled with his new found toy, Mister watched him, too afraid to hop onto unknown territory.
I flopped down to watch a little television, let them enjoy themselves. This was their first time on my bed. Before I knew it, they were up on my pillow again. I grabbed a stick-like cracker and stuck it into my mouth. They are very sweet, and they taste delicious. I had my back relaxed onto my covers, as Spikey ventured onto my stomach, walked right up to my face, and started nibbling on the other end of my cracker. He was being the adorable little bird I know he is. Mister soon was on me, too. They were both taking turns(they can't seem to share) snacking on my snack. I led them into another room because I really just wanted to enjoy my cracker stick. Another day of cuteness.

Amy

Hey. Just got back from Amy's house. We had a get-together today. I love her doggies. They are so sweet. It's just a friendly environment over there.
She had the summer of a lifetime. She went to Florida, Arizona, and Las Vegas. It all sounds like so much fun. Except for the outrageous heat she experienced in all three places. The heat really drains all of my energy. She said that once you walk out the hotel she stayed at in Las Vegas, the thick air just completely takes your breath away and you're all exhausted already. I couldn't imagine living there, but we almost moved there a few years ago.
Amy got me a little present! When she got back from Arizona, she got the cutest little deck of cards. I really enjoy playing games with an exciting deck. Not that decks are exciting, but they are better than no deck at all. This might sound a little weird, but I always have a deck of cards with me in my bag. True story. I also have a book, lanyards, my phone, hand sanitizer, and a hand held dictionary. Sometimes I even have my portable sudoku. Thanks to Amy, I now have choice in cards when I decide to play on the road. Thanks again!

Thanks Everybody!

Even though this blog isn't very popular, believe, I know it's not popular, thanks for stopping by anyway. I really appreciate the comments because at least I know someone has visited mine now. Thanks again. Just wanted to let you know that I do care. %%%

By the way, the sign %%% has become my new sign off symbol, whether it's at the end of a comment, or at the end of one of my posts.

My Life Of Exictement

I didn't find a reason to blog yesterday. It was pretty boring. But hey, I went to the store and bought some stuff. Here is what I got:

-eye solution for my contacts
-conditioner(I was completely out)
-new vitamins(these are pill-type things, and they are pretty big....ughh)

Pretty cool, huh? I think I need some excitement to shake up the ages. Oh yeah, we tried going to an open house, also. Nobody was there. We called up the owner about a week before and they assured us that it would be ready for September 1 move-in. If you saw the place, you probably wouldn't agree. The painting is not even nearly done. The backyard and the front yard needs a lot of work, and some Gardener out in the front said that the floor needs repairing. Hopefully they'll be able to fix everything. We would love to have this house. Maybe I shouldn't say anything, though. We haven't even looked inside.

What's going on for me today? Probably shopping. But this time......grocery shopping! Woohoo! Maybe I'll finish my book.

It's Only Getting Greener And Greener

It is so hot here. I am going nuts. Maybe not to other people, but I am still insanely jealous. She should be landing in Alaska in only a couple of hours, unless she was delayed, which I hope didn't happen. I still wish I was in her shoes right now. I feel like blubbering like a baby. Not really. I'm just really exaggerating things. But I really am jealous. I mean seriously, Friday night, nothing to do, I know someone who is going to be in Alaska in a few hours! Anybody have nay advice for somebody who needs her brown-eyed world back? No matter how boring it may be?I really need to get rid of this jealousy deal. I need to stop saying the word jealous or jealously or anything else having to do with jealous things. I'm going to drink an entire bottle of water just to keep my mouth shut, not like it was open, but I could have been saying the words out loud as I type them. I think I'm going to also play mahjong. Anything to get me in some zone that I won't be able to get myself out of.

Green Eyed Monster

Just as I left for Alaska earlier in the summer, my next-door neighbor just left, moments ago to go to Alaska, also. She was such a good sport when I left. Why can't I be a good sport now that she is gone? I am so jealous of her. I know I had my turn, but still. I would love to go back right this very minute. I miss the stinging coolness in the air. The wonderful scenery that is a photographer's dream job. The was the evergreens reflected themselves perfectly onto the lakes. Everything there was so calming and relaxing. My family and I even agree, that we had more fun there than when we went to Hawaii last summer.

I can feel my eyes evolving into a horrid shade of green as I think about how much fun she will be having. If only I could go with her, right? I never wanted my vacation to end. But I guess everything does eventually. Pretty soon, she'll be on a plane, and then she'll be having fun. I wan to have fun. I sound like such a brat. I don't wish her bad luck, I could...I would never do that, I just wish that I could be having even a pinch of fun. I need fun!

She has agreed to take in one of our fish. An orange fantail goldfish. I guess you could call it a larger version of what I choose to keep. I will be reserving that fish for her, and when she gets back, I will help them transfer it into their tank. Well, bowl really. She has a pretty navy blue beta right now. I have never seen such a gorgeous tail. It is absolutely wonderful looking. One fish down, many more to go. I had better do something else to get my mind off of..ooh! I just heard a text coming in on my phone. One moment please. Hi back. It was just friend saying hi, and telling me about another one of her friends. Really exciting, right? Gotta go enjoy my Alaska-free life. *sigh. Thanks for reading everybody. I really appreciate it. I got another text. Man. . . .

Bye Bye Fishy

You probably didn't know this, but I have fish. Two tanks full of them, to be specific. One with tropical tetras, and one with fantail goldfish. They take up so much room, and I have decided to give away all or them, except for one goldfish, which obviously will not take up the room of an entire tank. Now, I can focus on my two birdies(which are doing fine, by the way), and my one(and only one) fish. Just wanted to tell everybody.
And by the way, here are a few blogs that you might want to check out:

These are just a few I have noticed as I surf the blog world. Just consider it. Thanks.

Stardust

Today Rachael and I saw the movie Stardust at the theater. It was very good, but surprisingly long. Like, over two hours long. It's a huge fairy tale fantasy type that includes pirates, witches, princes, and a unicorn! There is much more to see, though. It is rated PG-13. Not bad. It is an interesting way to put a romantic theme. You could also read the book, but just know that the movie has many different parts. For example, a different ending. But, here is the movie summary.
They all live in a place called Wall. It is surrounded by the long wall that protects them from the magical kingdom outside of it. Triston wants only to win the heart of his beloved girl, Veronica. It is Veronica, right? I'm pretty sure. You might want to look it up anyway. They live in two different ways, though. You have ever-popular Veronica, already being worked on by another man, Humphrey. Triston and Veronica are together, when they see a falling star landed outside in the other world, beyond the wall, which nobody has ever crossed. Triston has only one week after that to compete for the fallen star, who actually appears to be a woman, before youth-wannabe witches, and king-wannabe princes, who are all after the same star. Triston must bring this star back to Veronica before she says yes to Humphrey's proposal, which should take place on her birthday. On Triston's long, duelling journey, things take quite a twist when he finds the fallen star alive, and in the form of a beautiful woman. I would recommend it to teens, and definitely adults, ready to be blasted into another dimension of whirling creativity on the director's part. This movie should haunt you after the last seen. I can guarantee it.

Shopping!

Hey. Just got back from the mall. Today, Rachael and I went shopping. We didn't really spend much, but we just hung out there and had a great time. It was enjoyable. Did I mention we got a cookie? Cookies are good. I got a sugar one with m&m's(how do you type this?). We must have gone to most of the stores, though.
Some of the sales people really bugged me. Like when you try on shoes, and they are like, right there. Or how they face this funny face on. But, like, they aren't trying to have a funny face. They just have a natural funny face. Anyway, it was super fun. I'll keep you updated in my life.

Hey, did you know there was a meteor shower early this morning? I mean like from 12 to 4, or whatever. It was right when my complex had a black out. Just had to share that with you.

Peace And Harmony To You
