You Know What Just Makes Me All Happy On The Inside?

-when you finish the last page of a book that you really enjoyed. I feel so accomplished and successful!
-when my bird will willingly hop onto my finger
-when i enjoy all three meals of the day
-when i crack a joke and it is actually funny
-when i get a text back with a big, fat A+ on it
-when i really want a pair of shoes, and it fits just perfectly
-when i manage to paint my nails without messing up at all
-when i find something so funny, and the whole world is amazing
-when i wake up thinking it's friday, and it is really saturday
-when i walk outside and i already feel nice and toasty from the sun
-when i get a haircut and I actually like it
-when i pronounce a complicated word correctly, without knowing the correct pronunciation
-when i check my blog, and i have a new comment!!!
-when there is a letter in the mail addressed to me
-when i put my contacts in correctly the first time

and many more....

have a fabulous saturday

Comments and Cockroaches

If I ever get comments that make me sad, I just blow them over. Yes, I do. Don't even worry about them. Get over it. Leave in that past. Yes.

Anyways, this is kind of gross(not kinda, but really REALLY disturbing in every way, shape, and form). I received it in a forwarded e-mail:

One day a girl licked the envelopes and postage stamps
instead of using a sponge. That very day the lady
found a cut on her tongue. A week later, she noticed an abnormal swelling of her tongue. She went to the doctor, and they found nothing wrong. Her tongue was not sore or anything. A couple of days later, her tongue started to swell more, and it began to get really sore, so sore, that she could not eat. She went back to the hospital, and demanded something be done. The doctor took an x-ray of her tongue and noticed a lump. He prepared her for minor surgery. When the doctor cut her tongue open, a live cockroach crawled out!!!! There were cockroach eggs on the seal of the envelope. The egg was able to hatch inside of her tongue, because of her saliva. It was warm and moist... This is a true story reported on CNN. Andy Hume wrote: Hey, I used to work in an envelope factory. You wouldn't believe the....things that float around in those gum applicator trays. I haven't licked an envelope for years!"

Gross, right?

DON'T BELIEVE IT. NOT TRUE. I STILL WOULDN'T LICK ENVELOPES JUST BECAUSE...., BUT DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ. Proved false here: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/roach-eggs.html

I thought that might be something interesting to read, though.

Joe The Plumber

It isn't fun when you have to drive somewhere to use the restroom because all the toilets in your house are being naughty.

We had to have our very own Joe The Plumber come down the mess in our house. The carpet was soaked. The hallway was flooded. The house was in poor condition. And the bad times keep-a-rollin' in. But hey, we're not complaining.

Turns out, roots are yucky. They tend to want to ruin people's home peace by clogging up pipes. They just want water. How selfish. But then again, that's just nature working for you.

Anyways, toilets are happy once again, as are we, despite the mess our house is. We are trying to organize.

And, I am still happy to report that we have two delightful chirpers in their cage. :)

PRAISE THE DAY FOR PETCO HAS COME TO THE RESCUE! I REPORT THAT MY BIRDIE IS ALL BETTER AND JUST AS STUBBORN AS HE WAS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

THAT SAME DAY, WE WENT OUT TO PETCO AND PURCHASED THESE MIRACULOUS LITTLE VITAMIN DROPS TO PUT INTO HIS WATER!! AS ODD AS THAT SOUNDS, HE WAS BETTER THE NEXT DAY! I APOLOGIZE FOR NOT POSTING EARLIER, BUT I'VE JUST BEEN HAPPY TO HAVE HIM BACK TO THE WAY HE WAS BEFORE.

ENDLESS THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS I RECEIVED. HONESTLY, HOW DID HE HEAL SO FAST? IT WASN'T JUST A "LITTLE COLD". IT WAS A FULL ON ILLNESS. I'LL SPARE YOU DETAILS, BECAUSE IT WAS KIND OF GROSS.

ANYWAYS, I'LL HAVE PICTURES AND A VIDEO IN THE NEXT POST WHERE HE IS CHEERY AND SMILEY AND TALKING!!!!!

THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN FOR THE KIND WORDS AND THOUGHTS!

I LOVE MY BLOGGY BUDDIES! (SPECIAL THANKS TO JRG AND AMS WHO ARE CLOSE FRIENDS WHO DON'T HAVE BLOGS BUT COMMENTED ANYWAYS). :)

Prayers Please!

Please send your love and joy our way! My poor birdie is SICK! And I'm so worried, because he is showing the same symptoms that my beautiful green parakeet showed before she...

He looks so weak and frail and fragile and painless! I feel like I can see him suffering! On top of all that, he's past his youth. Way past that. I'm so scared for him! He cannot go to the bathroom!

Send some prayers our way PLEASE!

edit: this is the most recent photo i have of him, taken the same day as this post. he looks tired, huh?

Paste... Yum?

You know kids always loved eating paste when they were little?

WHY IS THAT?!!

It just doesn't appeal to me. Why did it to so many others? Is it somehow appetizing? Can someone explain this to me? Better yet, somehow who was a paste eater, tell me what it tastes like. I'm curious.

Anyways, have a good day.

Don't You Hate It....

...when you want to act or look all cool by showing off your amazing skills for singing a song, and then this happens:

a) you get all excited and sing at the wrong part. ouch. awkward silence.

or

b) you sing the wrong lyrics and have to kind of mesh it into the real lyrics and be all like.. yeah, i meant to do that, or just stop quiet in your tracks. there's that awkward silence again.

don't you just hate that?

You Know The Feeling?

Do you know that feeling where you thinks someone is behind you? I think you do. You might not realize it. But when you get goosebumps on the beck of your head and then suddenly there's a draft. You hold your breath. And slowly turn around. And most of the time, nobody's there. Isn't that creepy?
