Gas Prices!

What are gas prices like for you? For us, they are absolutely CRAZY! Everything has been going up in price. I remember the good old days when my dad would fill up his car for two dollars and whatever cents. Before then, it was in the three-dollar range. We all thought that we would never see it under three dollars again.

We were wrong. For a while, the prices were very reasonable, I remember. Now, though, they are horrible. It was quite a shocker when the numbers hit four dollars, but we would be grateful for that price now, compared to our average of $4.55. Not exactly, but aroundish there. It is predicted that gas will run about seven dollars in the next year or so. Ridiculous, right?

I don't know about you, but these gas prices are unbelievable.

Wishbone

We had leftovers for dinner. Chicken was on the menu. I finished up, and then my Mom found a wishbone. Later on after cleaning up, we pulled the wishbone and did that game where you see who gets the bigger piece. Of course, I lost.

I was just wondering..

Is there a secret to winning the wish bone game?

Meet Gilbert

My friend and I dissected a frog today, which we named Gilbert. I know it was harder to name the frog, but we know person with that name.....who we do not particularly like. So... it was fitting.

I did not feel nauseous and I was totally okay with everything, but I felt bad for her innocent young life. It was a girl named Gilbert. Oh, well.

Kung Fu Panda

I would write about how hump day is already here..again. But, that is what I wrote about last Wednesday....I think. Oh well.

I seriously have nothing to say. Umm. It was cold out today. And I didn't like it. I thought that perhaps the cold weather had gone, and the warm weather was here to say. Well, I was wrong.

Monday..Again

I recently posted about how the school days were going by faster than ever. I am happy about that part. But, unfortunately, so are the weekends.

I went home Friday afternoon and relaxed, went to tennis on Saturday morning, and went to the fair yesterday. Now, I can't believe that the weekend has already come and gone. I wish that I can look forward for the weekend, but then I know that it'll be gone before I know it.

So, I think I will end this post with a happy Monday greeting because I should really work on my science.

My mom recently found out that one of her closest friends has leukemia. Isn't that sad? On top of it all, she has had mini strokes, is in a neck brace, and has a husband doing very poorly in the hospital. In general, things are not looking so great. So... send your prayers of here!!

Hump Day Already

I cannot believe that hump day has come to visit already. For me, personally, the days have been running past me like crazy.

I have nothing else to say.

This is the third time I had to type this because for some reason, it keeps getting messed up. It takes my off this posting page and does not save anything I do.

I got so mad.

I went crazy.

Seriously.

Now I think I am done.

Nothing to say.

Must go now.

Ouchie

Well . . . I can safely say that I am in pain. I am trying not to move it a lot as I type. I should be very grateful that I have the opportunity for a vaccine, but it still hurts. Tomorrow in P.E., we've been doing stuff that will probably involve my arms. For example, I signed up to do a push-up test. I don't know when it will be held, though. Ouch.

My doctor said that I can call them for a note if I have to. I don't think I will, although the nurse warned me that it will be "sore" for a while. But then, she also told me that the shot wouldn't hurt. I had to do that trick where you bite your pinky so the pain is evenly spread out among your body.

One last note: thank god, the shot was on my arm.... :D

Going To The Doctor

I'm-a-going to the doctor today. Not cool. I have to get a check-up and a . . . shot! I HATE shots. Don't we all? The piercing instrument into our soft, tender flesh? Why?!?! Why does the world send us through all this misery and suffering?

But..

I'm sure I can handle it. I just don't want to handle it. That's it.

I'll tell you more about later, perhaps. After I've gotten the shot, I'll be moping around FOREVER.

But...

I cannot be as bad as my tetanus shot, can it?

Not that was like my arm was dying(with a bit of exaggeration, even though it did really hurt).

A Surprisingly Nice Sunday

In general, this has been a very nice weekend. Very nice, indeed. On Saturday, my sister from Alaska and her friend had come down for a nice visit. We spent all day together and had grilled steaks for dinner out in my backyard.

Today, my mom decided to take a break from her library volunteer job. She stayed home and we relaxed a whole bunch. We all played badminton, had a satisfying breakfast and lunch, and my mom is now painting her nails while watching a movie.

On top of it all, the temperature has been in the nineties for both days. I am even in a tank top and shorts at this very moment.

I cannot remember having suck a lovely weekend, especially for a Sunday.

Hope your weekend has been superly fantastic, just as mine has!!!

By the way, I am trying out a new font that seems very interesting. Courier.....

OH OH OH OH YEAH!

I was exploring blogger. So.. I clicked on some elementy optiony things on customize. It took me to this link that showed how I can share music, videos, and other awesomest things. So.... I decided to click music. Cause I already have slideshow on my blog. Then, it took me to this playlist website, and I made my own playlist.

I thought it was cool, but I got over it. So....I started going through my friends on blogger. When I came to Tal's I heard this music, and to my surprise, Tal had one, too! Probably got it before me, though. Please don't think I'm copying you, Tal!!

Major Changes

I have some major changes going on around here. First, I updated my slide show so that it no longer features Google logos, but instead the ways of how monkeys bring joy to people(since we all know that they do that).

Then I did some work on my other blog, Ellie's Philosophical Moments. I changed the template, and the header, and I will try to start posting on their as often as possible now. Or at least as regularly as I do this one.

Also, I changed my 'Blogs of Importance' element(located on the right tabs) to 'Happy Places That Make The Web Shine'. I did this because I have decided to put links to my favorite places all over the web, and not just on blogs. For example, I put youtube on there. And so it won't be all confusing, I put 'blog' at the end of each link that directs you to a blog. So.. take a look at that.

I had decided not to mess with my template because that would mean I would have to adjust my picture that stretches across the words. I don't really want to do that, because it took me forever to start with.

So.. let me know what you think of the changes!

What kind of chocolate do you like? My absolute favorite is dark dark dark chocolate. As dark as it gets. I LOVE dark chocolate. Milk is eh-okay, white is not so bad, and I can't really think of any more(if there is) at the moment. I should be doing homework. I think I'll go do that right now.

Happy Hair Day

Weirdly enough, I was having a really happy hair day. Everything seemed so swishy and in place. Nothing out of the normal...it could be my Suave cucumber melon conditioner.

Or maybe not.

Anyways, have a happy Wednesday(Hump Day).
Go up the hump for Monday and Tuesday, reach the top of the hump on Wednesday, and go down the hump until Sunday. My daddy taught me this. :P

Also, I loaned my cell phone to a poor family in a supermarket parking lot who had locked themselves out of their car. I was with my dad, and the family we helped had a wife, a teenage son, and a sobbing younger girl. I felt so good to help them!

Happy Monday

Today is in fact a happy Monday. I feel fairly care-free, although not entirely. Hopefully everybody had a fantastic weekend, because so did I. Well, at least my Saturday was fun. Sunday I was working on a project.

Right now I am studying. Not very fun, but it is not as if I have a choice. It is not entirely bad, though. I do not have as much as I would have if I hadn't started during all of my classes.

Once again, the weather was very nice. I even wore shorts. I don't wear shorts often. I am more of a jeans person. I also wore a tank top. Still wearing it now.

Hmmm. Nothing much going on. Pretty swamped with work about school, and then outside activities. There has been a lot on my mind lately. The good thing is that the weather has finally started to go in my favor. All weekend long, it was burning hot. I LOVE it. This is the kind of weather I live for. Hopefully it will stay this way because I don't think I'm willing to go back to anything cooler than what I experienced today and yesterday.

Hmm...

In the beginning of the week, I was feeling like a rat in a trap. As in "my life stinks(try sucks) right now." I feel better. I just needed the week to carry on. I really still cannot wait until the weekend. I want that last bell to ring on Friday. I want to go home and stay home fore one afternoon, and two days. At least stay away from school.

First Day Back

My first day back to school was not so bad. I did have a pretty bad night's sleep, though. I did not fall asleep until two hours(literally) after I jumped in bed, and I was up every few hours for who knows why.
My actual day at school was eh-okay. It really sucked seeing the homework sky-rocket, but at least I won't be bored for a while!?!? In fact, I have homework right now. So..I'm going to have to sign off(this is what my aunt always says when we are talking on the phone and she needs to leave).

I Hate/Love Friday

I do not know quite what to think about this particular Friday. Normally I would love them because school is over for the week and I get a couple days to get my head back on straight. I get two days of relaxation without having to think about completing homework, or getting to bed on time, or waking up early in the morning. The thing is, I have been doing that all week due to spring break. Now, I have nothing to say about Friday because nothing is being celebrated. No end of school. At least it IS a Friday, so I love it. But then, it is a sign that school starts only next Monday. So..I also hate it.

Wednesday

Nothing much to say. Kind of just bored. I'm only posting because I am trying to keep up a schedule for posting every single day. Anybody have anything to say? 'Cause I certainly don't.

How do you create a background on the blog? I wanted to maybe put something where the really dark blue part of this blog is. The part directly to the right.....or a bit of a ways over to the left.

Umm..Well..Now you've met Amy.

About my evening:
Mom and I went to a theater to see the play "Evita". I hope I spelled that right. I did not really understand the whole plot or theme, but the musical part was amazing. I enjoyed quite myself, although I was clueless the majority of the time.
The guy next to me, must have been there only for his wife or girlfriend. He looked SO bored! Every time I looked over, he was doing something different: leaving forward, leaning backwards, and playing with his hands. I nearly let out a giggle when I heard a popping noise and looked over to find him cracking his knuckles! The most amusing act from stranger guy was when he was examining his chap stick(it was dark, so I don't know what he was trying to prove), and then he slowly applied to his lips. I wonder if he could repeat one word from the play.

Evita was entertaining in more ways than one.
The only truly depressing part about going to go see Evita, was missing American Idol! Somebody pleeaasee tell me what happened??? :(

Well, hear it is...Easter Sunday, which has unfortunately become a commercial holiday. Sure bunnies and chickies and lambies are cute and adorable, but that is not the real meaning behind the holy day. My family is religious, so we were up at 6:30 this morning to go to church. It was a very easy and soothing mass.

It was rather interesting, though, because during communion(when people go forward to receive the body and blood of Christ, bread and wine), we hear a loud crash of glass striking the stone tiled floor. I look behind me a bit, and a lady is shocked and stunned with her mini bottle of wine shattered and the red wine quickly staining and spreading on the floor. I did not hear it, but my mom said that she said "the 's' word" two times because she was so shocked. I felt so bad for her. i wanted to walk up and hug her.
Just thought would share that.

Ever heard of dhoogle? I was looking up a review on a book, and there it was! I was thinking, "What kind of a stupid name is that?". I check it out, and it looks exactly like google. Amazing. I still prefer google. It has the zing, while dhoogle only has the ding.

Caramel Apple Lollipops

Today in science, I was given a caramel apple lollipop for some kind of reward. They are a bit tart from the apple, but sweet from the caramel. I nicely matched pair. I got it about 3:00ish. A Conversation Between Me and Mom.

We were doing our family weekend grocery shopping. One aisle was themed to fit the upcoming Easter. Bunnies, eggs, and cute little chickie-chicks decorated the shelves.

Mom: "Look! How adorable!"

Me: "What?"

Mom: "A bunny-monkey! A bunny, and a monkey, together!".

Me: " Mom, that would be a lamb."

I cannot exactly blame her, considering the fact that it totally did look like a bunny-monkey. She just has an active imagination.

An entire week since I have posted? Woah. Nothing much happening, literally. I have not felt like going on to blogger and sharing stuff for the past few days. Especially since there is nothing to tell. My hands hurt.

I Wuv My Mom

My mom is the most hilarious person to me. She doesn't even try, either. You know the movie Penelope? She asked if I wanted to see it with her this weekend. I started to giggle and she didn't quite understand why. You see, she pronounces "Penelope" as penny-lope. Not Pen-el-oh-pee. You know? I thought it was the funniest thing in the world.


Today Mom was talking about how she hates bills and she hopes they stop coming forever. I don't know why, but I said, "Hi, my name is Bill. I bring pain to many people." I also don't know why, but we both started bursting into uncontrollable laughter. It was so weird! I call that word vomit, from the Twilight Series.

At lunch, a girl named Sara made me and everybody else crack up! My friend Maddie had Pops the cereal to go, and all of a sudden, Sara goes, "Goooottttaaa Haaaavvvvee Myyyy Poooooopppps!!" She sounded like a goat! Everybody was hysterical.

I had an extremely comical day today. Now wish me luck for my writing test tomorrow!!!!!

It totally feels as if I posted yesterday, but apparently I did not.....weird. Oh well. I am over that, for now.

I am still fairly addicted to Evanescence's "My Immortal". I just think it is just so captivating! I am playing it in the background right now on youtube.

Besides that, I have a basically semi-worry free weekend. I do not have to worry about any homework or projects, besides this HUGE state writing test next week. I love writing, but these are essays that you have to do right then and there. They do not even tell you what you are going to be writing about or in what essay form. I have to wait until that day. So, that means I will have to review all of them. fuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnn. :(

I am not going to sweat about that so much, though. Shoot, I just touched the Quickplay button on my laptop and I have to go exit-----never mind. That probably did not make much sense. Sorry!

Here at home it is still cold: the weather I HATE. Why can't the summer just come? Like now? And stay? Like forever? I wish..........

My backyard looks so cruddy outside. Everything is in random wet patches, and leaves, twigs, etc. decorate our green grass. We have pepper trees; they are quite the mess. The sky is not blue, though I long for it to be. It is ugly, fat, fugly, not really. Just overly cloudy and overcast. Nothing enjoyable, in my opinion. Mom and I were going to go out later today; I wonder if that is still going to happen.

Chika Chika Boom Boom

I so would love to show you pictures of random things, like my chipped nail, my shoes, or my calendar I have in my room. But, I do not exactly have a digital camera. I wish I had one so that way I could upload things onto my laptop. I could use my mom's, but that is really hers and is normally used only for vacations and stuff, you know?

I did a bit of extra homework in advance(well, okay. only math, but still), so a tiny burden has been lifted from my shoulders. I am just depressed because the weekend does not start tomorrow. But, that is okay, I can live without it.

So, I have discovered that I like Colbie Caillat. Well, I got her song , "Bubbly", a LONG TIME AGO, but I just found out that I like the song, "Realize". I am actually listening to it right now. I am not obsessed with her, but I felt as if I should just share that with you. I still like lots of other songs, though. Like No One by Alicia Keys and My Immortal by Evanescence.

Okay, well, gotta go now. I am kind of bored, and I need to find pics for this post(because I do not have a digital camera!)

My nails chipped already. This is depressing. I hate it when this happens...

Tomorrow I am doing a class presentation for a research project I did. I really do not want to do it, though I am fully capable of public speaking. Everybody else has been doing fairly good, and I hope I am one of them. I know that this is my class and I should not be so scared because everyone has to go up there and do it, but that does not mean that I cannot be nervous. I am nervous. I just know that I will feel so much better after getting this over with. Wish me luck!!!!

Weather wise

I wish that the summer would just come already. I hate this cold, bitter winter sent to California this year. I hate the cold stuff, and I want the warm stuff. My favorite season used to be spring because of the light showers, but I think that I am willing to let go of that theory and move onto a different one: the hotter the better. Right now, it is raining, and I do not like it. I am going to go visit my Mom later today, though, at the library. There it will be nice and warm in the comfortable gift shop. Last night there was thunder and rain and wind and all that gloom.

Hopefully summer is beginning to prematurely wake up so it can skip over spring and happen right now. I feel so much more comfortable in the heat. Though I will give the cold one thing: it is more soothing when you feel dizzy and woozy. I simply cannot breathe in warm air when I feel motion sick.

Speaking of motion sickness, I would really like to go to a theme park with friends. At night. When it is hot. Maybe Disneyland. I could go for that.

Okay, so yeah.

Never mind the stupid title. I just do not have any inspiration to blog tonight. I mean, I am feeling somewhat good because my homework is completed, but I just wanted to say hi on my blog.

Happy Tuesday!

Okay, well. Happy Tuesday! Everything to day has gone fairly well for a starter of the week(since school had no existence in this world yesterday). Despite the positive start, I am still PrOcRaStInAtInG when it comes to me project. I am nearly done, but I just cannot seem to put myself to the work. I do not feel entirely bad, though, because I have heard people in the halls who have not even started at all. See? I am SO not that bad.
I have nothing really exciting to say. So, I will tell you something totally unnecessary, yet still somehow wonderful! I have got in a fresh new pair of contacts today. Pretty cool, huh? I have to change every two weeks, ever since my vision worsened. I used to be free for an entire month, but then my eyes made the huge negative jump, which my optometrist said was quite normal. I personally do not like having vision issues, but that way I will never have to wonder what life would have been like without them.
My parents are always wondering what they did wrong with me to have my eyes turn out so rotten. Mom has two theories: the first being this ritual past on through her family that the mother must do with her child while it is whatever. I do not know it all. No one in my Mom's side of the family has any problems, and apparently my grandmother did not tell my Mom this secret. I have eaten many carrots in my youth, but I do not know what to think. I somewhat believe these ancient rituals because my Mom did this thing while I was younger( I do not want to say because it is in my family ONLY), and it was meant to help my in academics later on. Now, I am smartish, in my opinion.
My Mom's other theory is that I read in the dim light too much. I personally do not think that the light I read in is obscure, but she does, so I deal with it.

Distractions

I have been wanting and trying to write up this post for nearly ten minutes now. But the laptop is located right next to the television. I cannot help but get DISTRACTED by the colorful pictures, luring sounds, and everything you can find in a box. I try to turn around but the DISTRACTIONS are too strong. I have been DISTRACTED many times before in many different ways.

See? Well, you cannot, but I just wasted about three minutes being DISTRACTED by cracking open nutshells and eating them. They were pistachios, just so you know.

In the shower, I get DISTRACTED by the warmth of the water. My parents are always requesting that I get in, then get out to save water. I try, but that does not normally happen.


When I really get to thinking, though, I do not believe that these simple things are DISTRACTIONS. I more or less believe that they are works of mind through PrOcRaStInAtIoN. I think that I am really just PrOcRaStInAtInG when I am doing things. I feel like I am putting things off.

You might find this hard to believe, but it has taken me about half an hour just to do this post. I am hereby blaming it on pistachios and television.

Working Hard or Hardly Working

I cannot really tell which one I am doing at the moment. I really complain, a lot, about homework. I fact, one of my classes had this drawn out discussion about it today, too.

I am constantly wishing to mak emy work poof and begone, but it is not working. All I can say is that I cannot wait for Friday, the start of a four-day weekend.

Also, I am trying to do this deal where I cannot use any conjuctions. My English teacher once said that it makes your work seem less professional. It is actually hard to do, sort of. I have been hitting backspace numerous times.

Sorry for mispellings, I cannot exactly concentrate at the moment.

Saturday!

The very first thing that really got me interested in my Saturday was rather random, but scary. I was on my cell talking to two friends while my family was driving down to this valley to do some weekend shopping. All of the sudden, I am screaming "Oh My Gaaaaawd!!!!" over and over and over again. I actually saw a three car accident right in front of my eyes! It was scary, man!
A car was speeding to fast on an intersection, and it launched the one in front of it, into the car ahead of that one. It was a perfect example of a dominoe effect. I was wide-eyed and shocked. We watched while at a red light. Then the car who started it all ran away!! The other two were stopped in the middle of the road, smoking a little with huge parts missing. My dad, and tons of other cars sped after the guy, trying to catch him. A couple of us cars cornered him, and people took his picture. I know he was scared, but he shouldn't have run away. It had made the situation look worse and made him appear guiltier. We left then.
Mom was catapulted in a huge lecture about seatbelts, the chances of us being that car, and seriously....my parents debated abotu the death penalty. It was a very action-packed ten minutes. It must have sounded really weird to my friends on the other line.
It was really cool, though, to see all the cars chasing after the criminal. It proved to me that there is justice in the world, you just have to be there at the right time. I hope no one got hurt, but the drivers side was the one hit. It looked like it from my view, anyways.

On a happier tone, I spent the day with my Aunt. She came over and toured our new house. Then we went out to dinner with her at this adorable little chinese inn that had the most delicious servings. It was so small!! Its was like my living room kind of small!!! It was so worth it.

I have reading to do, so I will sign off now.

One Fiesty Crab

Today my family went to this Asian Ranch Market in the valley. I love going there, but because of the crowds we don't go there often. Like normal, we got our routine treats, meat, vegetables, etc. Then, we headed for the fresh seafood area where fish, crabs, clams, lobsters, and all other seafood are displayed infront of a sea of people. My Dad had the prongs and my Mom had the plastic bag; I was standing somewhat between/behind them. They were struggling to get the second juicy crab into the bag. It just wouldn't go. The legs were sprawled out so we had to make sure it didn't claw at us. Then it grabbed the bag and wouldn't let go. It was even flung into the tub of clams. We finally got it in, with a lot of effort, because it was still kicking in there.

This is why I love going to the market. Everyone around didn't even think about it as weird or unusual.

Except..

That a computer program completely died and went crazy on us during a REALLY IMPORTANT PROJECT. So, we got it fixed, just a while later. Very frustrating..

This is why I don't trust computers, they turn on you.

Boo Boo

I'll make this short and quick, since I am in dire need of going to bed, despite the fact that it's so early.

I fell and twisted my arm this morning as I made contact with our tiled floor in the kitchen. I blame it on my slipper-socks, which have no grips, so when I turned a corner really fast, I slipped.

I hurt on impact, but then the pain dissolved. Later, I started to feel it a bit more, but it was easy to forget.

No, it is throbbing and the pain has started to kick in. I tried lifting a shoebox at the store up with it, and I nearly dropped everything all over the floor as we were checking out. I can wiggle it, and move it, it's just that the uncomfortable feeling inside has become noticeable, and hard to forget about.

Dad said it might be a wee little sprain, but I don't think it's that bad.

Well. Sigh.

No snow, yet, hopefully. I woke up this morning, and I rushed to the window to check to see if my backyard was white and fluffy. Disappointment overwhelmed me, but I soon got over it.

The rain was on and off, as if the skies were wringing wet clothes after every load of washing. The wind would blow the water on my face, drench my hair, and leave my books soaked and ruined.

Feel better Holly! A friend is sick at the moment.

My schedule for this weekend:

Saturday:

from 9:30 to 1:00, go to school to work on projects with classmates.

from 1:00 to 5:00, either shop, read, or do research report.

from 5:00 to 10:00, celebrate Amy's birthday!!!!

Sunday:

from 10:00 to 2:00, go to Andrea's house with other friends.

from 2:00 to 4:00, go to library with Mum and research for my report.

from 4:00 to 5:00, go shopping.

Monday:

from 10:00ish to i-dont-know-when, help old elementray teacher teach students, cause my dad works there, and I don't have school.

Pretty busy weekend, I'll say.

Hail!!!!!!!!!!

OMG. Right after lunch, everyone starts yelping like dogs. When my friend, Holly, and I go outside, it's HAILING! This might not sound like such a big deal, but I HAVE NEVER SEEN/EXPERIENCE HAIL IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I have to admit, it was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had.

Also, there is a slight chance of SNOW! tomorrow!! I have only experience glacier snow, in Alaska, on a glacier. It's basically chipped up ice. I hope we have fluffiness tomorrow when I wake up, though it probably won't last long.

I know a lot of people don't like snow because of the inconvenience, but this is so new to me! I love the idea of snow. I'm sure I would get sick of it pretty soon, considering I hate the cold season. Bring snow down over here please!!

Rainy Wednesday

Of course it's rainy. It's sunny California! This doesn't make much sense, right? The only way to right the wrong is to get rid of the rain. I hope the weatherman hears me so he can do some ancient voodoo to keep the rain light and friendly, if he can't banish it completely. Homework has gone down, especially since I did many assignments that were do tomorrow and Friday. I needed to catch up so I could focus on my essay.

Tal, don't listen to me. I'm just being weird. I exaggerate a wee bit on the homework. You probably have much more challenging things. I'm a wimp with homework. Classwork, I can do.

Happy Tuesday

Well, it has been an entire month and one day since we've moved. I have to admit: I'm loving every second of it. I don't care about doing and yard work; it's better than having to share the floor as someone else's ceiling. Just not cool.

Other than that, homework has put me on the naughty list, thus giving me more homework, or at least the illusion towards its true amount. I am trying to get done all of my homework that is due the rest of the week, so that way I can concentrate on my research report. I have been majorly procrastinating, putting off this homework assignment I was given Friday, that isn't due until tomorrow. Kind of sad, right? It might not be, until you hear the fact that it only has to been two paragraphs long. I don't know why I find it so difficult, but apparently my sub-conscious mind does.

I need to finish up my homework now, since I have to go earlier to school tomorrow!

The Apple Store Enlightens My Life Again

Well, I went to the mall with my friend, Maddie, today. The first store we raced to was the Apple Store, anxious to get to the big laptops and the iphones on display. I wouldn't really want one, considering the fact that costs too much, and I don't really need it...but it is just fun to play around with. We spent forever there, and I had an awesome time(At the Apple Store, I mean). I even check my e-mail and found this blog address from their ipod touch gadgets. I was beaming in a crowd of other techno people. It was seriously mesmerizing to play with those things.

Just had to share it with people.

Trying To Keep A Promise

Well..here I am. Taking a break from my studying to post tonight. I have an English exam tomorrow, that isn't looking so good right now. Hopefully, if I really concentrate later, I will be able to focus and retain the material I am reading.

I am reading the second, New Moon, and it is super delicious. I love it. Teen vampire romances are the best. Thanks to Juliette in advance for letting me borrow the third book. Thanks once again, to all of my friends because these books are super good! Recommendable to all teens. It's strangely addicting. I've got a lot of thanks going around tonight.

Reminder: I still LOVE LOVE LOVE The Golden Compass(and Charlotte's Web.) That shall always be true. I'm going through a Twilight phase at the moment.

Well, posting hasn't been an option lately. I have been head over heels in homework, though I know I shouldn't complain because it will only get much worse from here. Honestly, I just haven't felt like posting, though. It's quite a weird sensation. I like checking my email, but I have lost my Internet connection on and off. My fingers ache every time I type. I'll try my best to keep up with posting and updating. Keep in mind that posts might not be so long.

Stove!

Well, as I predicted, Mum had to pick up take-out after her work ended. Once we all finished dinner, we drove down to a supplies store and bought a stove! Cool, huh? The one we already had was much older than I am now!
Our new one is flat on the top, and no longer has any of those spill-bowl thingies, or those spiral thingies that turn red when they are heated up. It is stone black and looks excellent.
The only bad part about it is that it was a open item, so it was marked down on the price. Of course, there was nothing wrong with it, it was just a returned product. So then, we had to have delivery come and store it for us until Tuesday, because that is the next time that they are available. Until then, we should be good sorting things out.

Also, we finally got some POURING last night, so we can get some water down here.

Once again, never mind. Turns out that our stove is just not working at all. Gee, I wonder what we're having for dinner. Since we can't have anything that requires cooking. We can't keep on ordering pizza, or going out to dinner, or having take-out. Money doesn't appear from thin air.

Ha Ha Ha, Never Mind.

I woke up, and Dad was saying that he was going to get the old manager from our old apartments to come on over and see if he could fix our lack-of-power situation. We had grown very close to him in the time we've both been there.

I was still in my room, I hardly noticed it when they were both by the fuse box(Dad found it in the back of the house) tinkering around with it. Apparently it is an old one, different from the type they have now.

After a while, we learned that all we needed to do was push the button that was forced out a little bit farther than the others, because that is what happens when circuits are blown, I guess.

Not a problem. Everything is back and running. I even tested all of the outlets to make sure by plugging in a mini nightlight in each one. Nice and simple, yet it works.

So.....Electricity..Outlets...Blah blah blah

Well, well, well. More to add to the "house list". Every single outlet inside our kitchen/dining room area has failed to work for us. That includes our toaster, microwave, rice cooker, stove, oven, coffee maker, most used on a daily basis. When I tried refilling my water bottle, we discovered that the refrigerator doesn't work, either. We really need to get things straightened out, because we can't cook at the moment, and our food would be spoiled, anyways. It already ruined our spaghetti dreams tonight. We had to go out and order pizza. We can't even find the fuse box, either.

One last thing, we can't contact the man who is renting it to us because we can't get a hold of him! Mum left him a message, and we knew he went out of the country over the winter. We just don't know exactly when he gets back. yeah.....

Wish us luck for the next week, I think we'll need it.

It's Official: We're Totally Moved Out

After we moved on the 21st, we were still going back and forth between the house and the apartment, doing some last-minute cleaning and bringing over things we might not have loaded up yet. On New Year's Day, we even had our "mega-clean up". So, we weren't completely moved. That one day was just to get our big things out(beds, refrigerator, sofa, entertainment centers, etc.), so we would be able to sleep in the new home. We still had a lot of things over at the apartment.

Today, we finally did it: we said our last good-byes. I'm not that good at saying so long...forever. I like to dwell on the last minute. The week before the move, I was always saying "here's my last Monday". The next day Tuesday, then Wednesday, and so on. I even said, my last weekend, my last time I would wake up in this bed, on this day, in this apartment. I was going crazy the week before. I even do that before vacations. But, I wouldn't be returning this time.

Anyways, back to saying good-bye:

Dad drove us over to my Mum's work to get the second house key(my Mum had one, and my Dad had one), and the mail key. Three keys altogether. Then he drove us over to the rental office for the apartments and chatted with the manager for a while, as we settled all last deals: giving a forwarding address, paying the last rent, collecting our files, all that good stuff. Once we drove out of the parking lot, that place was history. I once lived in a two bedroom apartment in that same complex since I was only a few months old, new to America. Once I grew a little bit older(like 6, 7, or 8 years of age), we moved to a different apartment(same complex), with three bedrooms. So, for as long as I have lived, I have been occupying my time in an apartment. Now that things are different, I can move on from my "I want a house" phase.

Wow, I shouldn't be complaining. Thanks for the heads up, Tal. I didn't even realize that there were other school schedules besides mine. Also...MISS YOU AMY!

Please ignore that post before, I was just upset..very VERY upset. Things haven't gotten much better, but HEY! It hasn't gotten any worse!

This is a very short post, but I haven't much to say.(does this even make sense?)

So...This Is The New Year?

I woke up, had a breakfast that was quick and quiet with my family. The second we were finished, we all dressed in rags to go over to the old apartment to clean up. From 11:00 am. to 6:00 pm, we all had to go back and forth upstairs, and down crouching on the mold-infested floor to clean up that awful apartment. I felt suffocated with the fumes of cleaner. My parents had to move our sofa down the staircase..NOT GOOD. They nearly let go of it when they were going downstairs and sent Mum flying. Luckily, we had our neighbor open the door to find us there in need, so she assisted my parents. Later, we found out that Dad had thrown out his back during the move.

Mum was sick and blowing her nose constantly, yet we were all down on our knees.

I got to take a shower after, yet it was rushed and uncomfortable.

I was relieved when my parents were going to treat us all out to dinner, until dinner was spoiled. The one meal that Dad had been looking forward to ever since it was being advertised, one of the sole reasons for us going over there, was all gone. He said that if he had known that before, we all would have walked right out of that place. Then, the waiter comes back to tell me that they ran out of cornbread and they could give me garlic instead. Who was I to say no? The bread didn't taste so good. We didn't even get the pie were thinking about, which looked so good, yet too sweet for me.

I would like to have friends over, but we are just not ready for company, and it will apparently rain, which would trap us inside the house, anyways.

My life at the moment really sucks. It really does. Finally, when I am feeling a wee bit better, I have to go to school on Monday.

Did I mention I didn't even get to watch the ball drop last night(technically this morning.)?

Hopefully everyone is having a better life than me.
