Spasm Attacks
I think one of my birds is nuts. My little parakeet, Mister, has spasm attacks. I mean it! For one minute, he is so cool, calm, collected. The next thing I know, he is screeching like there's no tomorrow. He has always done this, though. After a loud screeching session, he takes off in a spiraling flight around the room. So now I have a yelling, flapping, flying bird who goes once, twice, sometimes even three times around before he comes to his senses and lands on top of his cage with a crackling sound as his talon wrap around the cage bars. Other times he will just start chewing on the paper towel we have in there(to make cleaning the cage a lot easier). Right now, he has decided to be normal.Mister is perched on his branch, grinding his little beak. Sometimes I feel so sorry for my other bird, Spikey. He is a cockatiel, and he never flies around, but he does sometimes yell out loud for no apparent reason. Spikey has huddled himself into a corner as his little cage companion chirps away. My bird has problems, but I'm willing to live with that.

Hi Ellie, I have bookmarked your blog and will add it to my links. I'm leaving tomorrow for two weeks vacation, so I may not be able to comment for a while, but rest assured, I will catch up when I come back.
